Torsie! What a treat for FrIUday. I definitely enjoyed watching this with you again. For me, this was such a beautifully shot film. The cinematography was just amazing and the acting - what can I even say....I'm speechless and so blown away at how good they all were. IU and Gang Dong Won's chemistry was soooo good. I wish that IU was recognized for her acting in this film because she was incredible. Her depth of emtion is so transparent even in the silent moments of this film.

Although I watched it just last week, I still have a lots detail to be reviewed regarding this smooth , delicate yet reflective movie. Specially the last section of this movie. It seemed that I had lost something when the temple went so fast.

Oh I still haven't got time to watch it yet >< Will watch with you again after

Thanks so much for this review. I can't wait until I can see the film full screen (either on my iPad or at a theater). I'm very envious you got to watch the film on the big screen already. Who knows when it will come to the U.S.? It's a long time until Oscar nominations ... they will be announced Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023. The film does not come out until early Dec in France, and I'm afraid it may be similar in the U.S. ... lots of Oscar-worthy films are released relatively close to nominations so the film is fresh in the minds of the academy. I'm sure this was mentioned elsewhere ... but Koreda stated all the actors had been hired before Covid-19 except for "the young mother". He was given a list of possible actors ... but then he watched My Mister (where another of his movies is mentioned in E. 16). After the end of that show he knew the actor he HAD to hire for that role! It was great to see all these wonderful actors in one film. I remember seeing IU in the 2015 series The Producers. And she really wasn't that good (sometimes hard to tell as the script/show itself wasn't great). But between 2015 and 2018 ... wow what a development of her acting craft. So impressive.
