TALK NO JUTSU

great series, seems they had more to tell, but wanted to have a ending to this season, just in case it's a 1 in done series.

From my understanding, there's actually very little of the manga that they had left to adapt. I'm going to read the Manga myself to see what didn't make it, but it feels like a complete story to me. The only thing I wish we had seen was a little bit more about Emiri and Kasamichi. I do wonder if there is enough content to make a movie in the future, to fill in the Gap between where the show ends and the look into the future we got.

This was such a great series - it's absolutely one of my faves. In some ways I do consider this one better than Frieren and even Violet Evergarden (which is saying a LOT). Writing that's this consistently touching and relatable isn't all that common imo, and the soft animation and music really tied it all together. Stories like Frieren and VE are touching too, and the art and animation are stunning, but the level of relatability I found watching Journal with Witch would be hard to match. I appreciate that they wrapped up the show with the brief flash forward, though I'd definitely be up for a short film to cover whatever's left from the manga. Fingers crossed more reactors cover this series one day!!
