Saw a great comment, referring to the cooking scene as "Delicious En Dungeon". Aside from that, I think that we can infer more about Nikaido's past from context. First she grew up with Yakumo and Kawajiri. Then she accidentally prevented Yakumo's rescue, so she returns to a time where she grew up with Kawajiri and nobody knows of Yakumo. Then later we see Kawajiri say that he met her much later. I'm guessing that we're seeing at least 3 different timelines here. The first original timeline before Nikaido used magic, the second timeline where Nikaido caused the death of Yakumo, then a third timeline where Nikaido didn't grow up with Kawajiri. I'm assuming she realised what she caused in the second timeline, then tried to fix it and ended up failing, perhaps over and over again, until the current timeline, where she gave up and just left things in their broken state.

What is up with the subs on this episode? There were 3 mistranslations: 1) When Shin was showing Noi the drawing, he was saying he asked Kasukabe to draw him the potential weakpoints of a Sorcerer 2) When Noi got on the broom, the subs said "Wait for us" (matte kudasai). But Noi actually said "Ride with me/Ride this"(Notte Kudasai) 3) When the CrossEyes were in the car, thing about Shaitan. He actually said that because En wa dead, they didn't have to worry about being hunted by him anymore. Not "having to worry about En being found dead".
