Man I called that woman being Veor's mom back in episode 2. The second they brought her up i knew what was comin. Ive asked some of my Japanese friends why women do the grabby hands on each other, and apparently to them its the equivalent of when a guy starts grabbing his friend's shoulders and biceps and doing jabs at their chest and core when they're basically joking around that they've gained muscle. Many guys dont like it when you do that, and many women especially dont like it. But they also have bathhouses and are more used to seeing others in the nude than we Americans are.

Asa manga reader, the anime does make some of the smaller details more noticeable. Although the manga art is really good, due to it's art style smaller panels and precise details are harder to notice. For example, the priest flashback is very visually vague, i had no idea those were supposed to be her parents when i first read it. fun fact: in the manga right before the flash back she says "Its going inside me".

if you're talking about irl religion, forget about trying to prove a religion lasting longer than 10K years...question is do even humans existed over 10K years ago if you look at history from judeo-christian-islamic perspectives, likes of Moses PBUH came around 3200 years ago and Abraham PBUH came around 4000 years ago idk about judeo-christian, but islamic sources say Noah PBUH preached to his community for 950 years...idk what archaelogical records say when human first appeared, but 10K years sounds like a good guess to me
