Asuma told the granny (and the others who were tailing) to keep their distance and not to harm them especially Yuru. So I think while Asuma has his own agenda, definitely not big bad or at least not the main foe - I think he possibly would've even intervened to save Yuru if they couldn't win against arms and legs. The butterfly simply just to keep an eye on them just in case. My guess is another group is the main foe (not the Kagemoris or the village - though they might play a part) perhaps Deras clan/family and Dera is basically being betrayed by his own clan. PLUS arms and legs knew how to enter the lost house which is something Deras clan is only supposed to know how to do.
