He was concerned about how she would react. He talked about it while in Liang, not wanting to put her through the heavy expectations of leading his family (plus all the court politics). He is not thinking of this yet but their social standing is an issue. For the time period, there is a huge gap in their social status. No one would expect him to make her his principal wife even if she saved his life. Even a concubine status would be dubious (and we know how she feels about that option). Plus, she doesn't have enough to bring into the marriage. She has no wealth, and her natal family has no prestige or are even alive. She has no one to provide support or defend her if her husband's family mistreats her. Even those who did have all support would not fare well. Any children she had, their standing would also be affected. The first battle scene is one of my favorites because of its cinematography.

Amazing episode with the Reveal. I liked her measuring the Marquis' armour walking down it with her hand to see if it fit while at the same time she was drugging him to keep him out of the battle. And the comedy at the front end regarding her getting out of a beating with folks around her improvising protecting her husband's identity. At the end of the episode she knows. And was the broken blade a metaphor for her broken trust at the end?

"this is all becuase the mutherfucker wont say who he is", THIS is exactly how i reacted as well. Also Pursuit of Health is so real, they get hurt so many time lmao. thx for the reaction :)

At this point they can claim that the Marquis didn't consider Shi Hu a worthy opponent so he sent his wife to take care of business .😅 Great reaction.

I think the reason he cut his hand with the knife was for the drug to leave his system faster.

Great episode! Crazy action scenes and finally the reveal that he is the marquis

I like that you clocked that he was worried about the possible title of marchioness and how she would react to it, but the thing is it's easy to say yeah I want to be this until you are to actually be subjected into that role, xie zheng also did mentioned that he wanted her to remain free, someone who just do what she wants and not restricted to nobility as why he previously hold back, i think until the whole jealousy with syq, and reality of the divorce hit him, he never considered their relationship to work bec he cared too much about her being caged to the role of marchioness. the idea of xie zheng being able to defeat shi hu, i think he can actually, he easily defeated sui yuanqing even freshly wounded by him, he is known to be feared general that won many battles earning him the title of marquis and the youngest at that, part of it was due to not having family, he is alone, he doesn't consider his uncle's family as his family, so he charged into battles not caring he dies. changyu pulling a mulan on xie zheng, she loves him very much then finds out about his identity, she is very much hurt, this man just become stranger to her again love the reaction! ☺️

I've been waiting to see your reaction to this fight scene and you didn't disappoint! Peak cinema, right? I had tried to convince Lee to react to PoJ, but to no avail, at least for now. I can just imagine him going crazy over this scene like you did.

Yeah...he needed to tell her at this point! But thats some bs she pulled! She already been told he could be punished as a regular foot soldier if he left the army by the other soldiers! But, she straight up drugged his ass to stop him, and get her way. It doesn't matter if she wanted to keep him safe, she took his voice and choice by force! 🤷🏽‍♀️He could be court-martialed and/or killed if its found out he wasn't on that field, but even more so because he is the General and The Marquis! I wanted to slap her ass through the screen! No cap!😂👋🏽 Also...as bad ass as she is...she does not have that killer/soldier mindset. She hesitates too much as you saw with kid and its going to bite her in the ass, as it did with the scouts that landed her in the camp to carry rocks in the first place. I know Im complaining alot about out girl at this point, but I love her fr, fr! But she got he r flaws too...thats all im saying! 🤣🤣🤣

There is a giant red circus tent as a death beacon for several people. I don't know how far ahead you are so I won't say more. Hugs and kisses to the furry overlords. 😻

Pursuit of Health 😂 Good title

Ping Tuo

I don’t think it was that bad if he were just a foot soldier. The story of Hua Mulan was Mulan taking the place of her father in the troop. So I think they only require one man per household or something like that. Doesn’t really matter who was there as long as they can fight and kill.

We have to assume that Xie Zheng would have done it, I mean he conquered cities and stuff, he is definitely very strong. This is a female centered story, that's why he has less screen time, he didn't get that much action in the novel either, his battles were mostly mentioned. They also had to prioritize the budget in the show, Changyu does more in the novel. And yes, she carried him on her back and I get all the glazing/praising for that but I can't help to wonder if she really had to do that?! The dude has 90 kg, no matter how skinny he seems, he is very tall and she literally said that she felt like dying in their BTS, like it wasn't easy at all and it's not healthy. Idk, I said okay on the first scene but on the third...
