I know from the beginning we've been comparing Will to Asta from Black Clover, but outside of the hard work Will puts in, that has really been not a great comparison for awhile now (going back to the end of S1), and after this episode there's really very little comparison left between the two at all... because Will DOES have magic, and always has. If we're really going to compare Will to Black Clover characters, Wis is a cross between Licht's (not the fake Licht that Patri was, but the real thing) sword magic and Rhia's copy magic. You can also throw in Tatsuya Shiba's power that isn't quantifiable by how his society defines magic. But this absolutely explains why Will has always been comfortable with the variants of Wis that derive from Elfie's magic... because that's how he first awakened the the power in the first place. The real big mystery: why does Cerridwyn have a portrait of Will and Elfie from when they were at the orphanage (as well as a portrait of Edward, Workner, and Clairie as they were entering the tower)? As a manga reader even I have no answer for that. Really looking forward to next week's episode... for very different reasons for why I was looking forward to this episode.-

Joe needs to read more books, if that's too slow for him to read without pausing 😂 English ain't even my native language, yet I can do that much at least (otherwise I would never be able to watch exclusively subbed anime, for obvious reasons)
