Yu in Chang Yu's name means jade. And in the earlier episode, before they got married, Chang Yu said to Mrs. Zhao that Zheng was like a jade pendant she found, but she couldn't carve her name on it and had to give it back somehow. They will speak about this again later in episode 35. About Qi Min's burned scar, there is no explanation in the drama, but in the novel, they replaced his skin again and again, and it's like a torture for him. Everybody got scared of his appearance and he hated them for that.

Like you said you probably got confirmation in the next episodes, but yeah Qi Min is the legitimate heir to the throne. His father was Crown Prince Chengde that died 17 years ago with Xie Zheng's dad. His mom burned her palace to save his life and exchange him with Prince Changxin's eldest son. There is full explanation coming at some point so I won’t say more! And yes, Bao'er has indeed a claim to the throne, hence why Qi Min want him dead

Yep you need a tough needle to go through the sole which most likely was leather and not rubber like many of our soles.

Peppermint

If I remember correctly, they removed the scene of him giving her a hickey. Lol Also, I think Qian hates QiMin but also pities him. I think that's part of why it's so weird(besides the fact that hes crazy as fuck). Cause she hates him but it seems like there are moments she doesn't.

Loved the reaction

This was a pretty relaxed episode just repositioning everyone for the next phase in the story. The Pretty Lady is clearly just doing enough to survive and keeping him from threatening their son.

Qi Min definitely sees Bao'er as a threat. Qianqian saved his life 7years ago and that would have been their only encounter. However, the nanny saw how crazy Qi Min is, she drugged him with an aphrodisiac and caused him to rape Qianqian, hoping that it will result in a male child that his followers can bypass him and put the child on the throne. That is why in an earlier episode the nanny kind of apologized to Qianqian for using her.

I love that they didn't drag the whole conflict between changyu & xie zheng, their feelings were communicated well, changyu was able to confirm to xie zheng and herself that she loved both him, that it was just him, giving me even more reason to love them individually and together. love that xie zheng was making a sword for changyu and gongsun fixing the princess's shoe, best friends being best men. you are pretty catch on to qi min/sui yuanhai's drama, it just sums up that qi min is basically the crown prince's son therefore the most legitimate next in line, and even more reason for him to hate bao'er bec he is a threat to his throne. we are moving to the next phased, as usual i enjoyed the reaction! 💙

I think that when prince Changxin spoke about the throne to Qi Min, he meant his throne, not the Imperial throne. His younger brother truly loves him because he doesn't know the truth, while Qi Min is plotting against him and his father prince Changxin. The male lead is receiving a crazy amount of fame and admiration globaly because POJ has reached a very wide audience globally, about 4 billion views so far in 3 months across platforms. He was popular before but nothing compared to what is happening now. Also the scene where Gongsun is ticklish is one of the 3 bloopers of this actor they kept. I love your reaction.😃

Changyu had the first hickey on record 🤣😂

Xie Zheng has no hinges in the original novel. He's kind of closer to Qi Min in some ways. The dramas mellowed him quite a bit. IIRC, in the novel, he slashed his back with the weapon and purposefully kept the wounds from healing as long as possible so that he could carry them proudly and obsessively. There was no way someone else than him was going to christen her blades. And that's not even the craziest thing he does because of his love for Changyu.

FYI, when gongsun laughed and said it was ticklish, it was real. He really felt ticklish and the director simply kept it in the scene. just like how he fell from the steps earlier on
