Great episode. It ended on a cliffhanger to be resolved in the next one. Wei Yan may not be involved in this. So far, looks like only Lady Zhu (Shao's mother) and Chu Yu are the suspects. Lady Zhu looks like she is starting to regret her action when she sees how serious this has turned out to be.

Really loved it and very happy to see that you are finally giving wei shao his due.. Loved the reaction

In C-dramas, all the lines are dubbed. Because of set noise and lack of mics to maintain the realism of the scene. Not to mention some actors don't have the desired accent but even if they do they end up doing the dubbing themselves.

She is forever a Qiao but as the Lady of Wei. The whole point of these marriages is the Children unite the families not the couple. As the children are both Qiao and Wei and whoever they favor in the future will dominate. Hence the push for sons and teaching them the ways of the Wei.

In the 2010s most Cdrama were dubbed with one or 2 of the main actors having different voice actors.

Also it saves massively on production costs if you don't need to worry about sound either from the actors voices or the background noise. Can't imagine filming somewhere as busy as Hengdian Studios (70% of period Cdramas film there) with 20 million visitors a year trying keep a quiet set!! lol

Yoruka

Watching alot of cdramas is funny for me, cause the Wei Shao's mother is cringey and annoying in this cdrama. While in another cdrama called How Dare You she is one of the best characters. Shows how skilled the actors are in these dramas to be able to do such polar opposite roles and get people to react to the them so differently.

Brissygirl

Man Man recognises that someone is trying to cause trouble for her, but she also realises that her husband is in a difficult position because the evidence so far points towards his wife and his cousin. Not to mention the whole blood feud stuff with the Qiao family.
