I fell in love with The Ghost in the Shell after watching the first 2 movies, so when I heard there was an anime reboot that follows the manga, I was super hyped.

This show being so colorful is insane! I'm so used to this series being serious, almost overly serious

PiratePawsLive

Personally I think Deus Ex is more like Ghost In The Shell. But sadly we do not have a OG game. The OG movie was so goated and love the aesthetic of that new Anime, feels like I'm watching a 1995 Ghost Movie <3.

Sam Fisher

The Ghost is the human consciousness/soul and the shell is the mechanical body. Someone with a ghost is a real person.

Yoru

Someone already said it, but a ghost is the human soul. The name "Ghost in the Shell" is a reference to the phrase "Ghost in the machine." Also, if you haven't seen Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex you should at least check out the opening for it.

Yoru

Deus Ex is definitely closer than Cyberpunk.

pretty sure you misunderstood what they mean when they said "slave nation" or "slave state". The guy was not talking about a country that does slavery he was talking about another country being subservient to his nation, which in modern day we call a vassal state.

I got goosebump when the song comes at the time the bullet being shot

First time hearing this series. And I'm loving it! Glad it is on Prime Video

Prince

Idk if you noticed it off camera but there was an end card illustration by Yoji Shinkawa (Metal Gear Solid & Death Stranding Artist) right after the title preview for episode 2. You should check it out if you haven't already, it's amazing! It's such an insanely high-quality love letter to GITS and I've heard that we should be getting more end cards at the end of every episode going forward.
