Updated 07/26: Ok ill finish the series but I wont be watching the movie. TLDR: Dropping Kamen Rider after W episode 36.

To those of you that watch my Kamen Rider reactions, I must inform you that I have decided to stop watching Kamen Rider W. I've been contemplating this for a little while and it really boils down to two reasons.

with the constant take down of Kamen Rider streaming sites, its a pain in the ass to watch the show, sometimes I record and its fine others I have to spend time finding a new site because the new one im using is busted.

it doesn't benefit me to continue watching Kamen Rider every week when it is statistically one of the least watched reactions I'm putting out every week and I have no way to promote it to a large audience on YT as the YT audience has proven they're not interested in KR and the series deal with copyright issues.

I wanted to make Kamen Rider part of my routine when I started it because I saw how much interest people had for the Opening and Henshin reactions, but over time I found those are really the things people have interest in. I have enjoyed the Kamen Rider I've watched, especially Build, but W has had some pretty lame, cringe and weird moments AT TIMES (not all the time). I don't like it nearly as much as Build and since I have already recorded up to episode 36, I will still post those reactions but no more after episode 36.

If Kamen Rider was the only series you watched from me, I'm sorry there's no other reactions of mine you are interested in. If you watch other stuff, I hope you still enjoy those reactions despite my Kamen Rider journey ending. Thank you

Sad to see rider get dropped but not surprised in the long run. Finding a site to watch it on has become difficult, annoyingly so, except for certain ones that have been posted on YouTube like zeztz. Hopefully in the future there's a chance for it's return but glad it got a chance anyways

Totally understandable 😊! As I mentioned, W was probably not the best pick for a series (I watch your anime reactions and know that it wouldn't be up your alley due to the camp and pure episodicness, as opposed to being serial), but I do respect that you picked W because it's nostalgic to a lot of your community (I'm an entertainment critic and understand that a lot of the general public votes for nostalgia over quality on occasion). For your taste, I would have picked the many series that are better than Build and move up from there (like Ex Aid, like Gavv, like Ryuki and Gaim for the Madoka Magica connection, like Zeztz , like Den O, like Zero One, like OOOs, heck like Agito). But no worries, you have a ton on your plate and I'll continue to watch your reactions to support you nonetheless. Keep up the awesome work you do and continue to shine (heck, I appreciate you going into the Cdrama route and hope you eventually do more non-period C Dramas 😉). Maybe you can pick up a more serial Kamen Rider down the road that doesn't turn you away because it's such a fun series 😊.

Really really sad to see this but I understand why you would make this decision. The kamen rider hype has cooled down after Toujima ended and W just not really you cup of tea. As a kamen rider fan supporting your kamen rider reactions, I don't want you to end this journey with a bad memory. I suggest you to give it a last chance, to finish the W journey with the Fuuto PI anime movie. It's like the prologue, story about what's happening before the TV series. Good quality animation, animated by studio KAI, less goofy scenes(no akiko, just hard boiled dad)l, and you don't need to finish the TV series to enjoy it.

Really sad to see you dropping this series... I came from pursuit of jade and stayed for the kamen rider series. Tho it is understandable if it ain't your cup of tea plus the site issues.

Had you dropped it earlier I'd get it but after 36 of 49 episodes? You're almost finished and I do believe having a finished series at least on your Patreon (if not on YouTube) is better than a dropped one.

Understandable. Came here for Kr Build but this channel/ patreon is truly a gem with the amount of Kdramas, animes (and now Cdramas too!!). There’s always gonna be a series I’d love to see your reactions to come back to. Hopefully in the future there’ll be another rider series. But for now, it’s all good and I understand it’s necessary for your channel to grow; there’s simply too much things for you to watch and managing your schedule while maintaining your own life.

well, I've only posted through episode 24, I suppose if I dont post my reactions for 25-36 then that would be dropping it earlier. That's less than half the series if you include the movie that I was obligated to watch after episode 44.

Please cancel your memberships and do not renew if you were only here for Kamen Rider. I will be posting W 3 more times over these next 3 Saturdays and no more beyond that.

Have you thought about just downloading the episodes? It really does suck that you aren't continuing with Kamen Rider because of how excited you were after really getting into Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider. There's a site where you can just download episodes without having to worry about sites getting taken down.

Even the licensing deals with Shout! Factory and Toei for having some Kamen Rider seasons be legally available on YouTube have run out. The original Kamen Rider from 1971, and Kuuga were just taken down because their streaming licenses expired. This was why I kept letting you know to get the official releases on blu-ray. I'm still heavily interested in you reacting to Kamen Rider, even though it's not what everyone wants. This is an absolute bummer since I'm a big Kamen Rider fan.

The thing is that I totally understand not posting on YouTube if it doesn't perform well there because of the algorithm but that's not really an issue on Patreon so why not make the remaining episodes an exclusive? There's also the issue of you not particularly enjoying it and if you don't want to watch it that's totally fair but after investing so much time and watching 36 episodes I think it might me more beneficial to watch the remaining episodes to make the people who enjoy the show happy, it's just three more videos you'd have to do and you could add it as a finished show to your back catalogue which new patrons might see as a nice benefit. The movie is optional though, people sometimes act like it's essential but no one in the west watched it when the show originally aired and it still made sense.
