Well the art style changed to match the light novel and is purposefully generic because the game its set in was just a generic harem game. They kinda shot themselves in the foot by changing it from the LN style for S1 then changing to match the LN in S2, they should’ve either did the LN art style from the start or just kept the same style throughout.

First, this is the point in the novels where I began to feel quite a bit sorry for Marie. Karma has always taken it a bit too far in regards to her retribution. Sure, she deserved punishment for her selfishness being the cause of Leon's death, but holy hell what she went through was far too steep a price. Second, Leon turning all of Frampton's argumetns back on him (it's your turn to be the sacrifice for this nation) goes so hard... and I love that Hertrude was secretly turned on by it.

Also it's mentioned time after time that the studio ISN'T an otomege studio, but action etc studio. Hence the weirdass sci-fi shit & mechas etc, vs stereotypical vanilla otomege. Makes sense the art style would be pretty bland since they don't know WTF they are doing w/ the otomege elements etc.
