The Furious is filmed in Thailand as a Hong Kong-Mainland Chinese co-production and directed by a Japanese filmmaker, while it is distributed internationally by a Canadian-American company. 🌏🎬

WOOOO another great drama journey 💅 love this couple so much. Funny enough, while this drama was indeed dubbed over, the two main characters actually dubbed themselves. So what you’re hearing is their actual voice. Basically with all the dialects that exist in china, a lot of times they dub to keep the accent more consistent or it’s because the actor’s original voice or matter or speaking doesn’t quite match the character/setting. A lot of Chinese people think certain voices draw them out of the immersion. Also sometimes lines get changed post filming for a lot of reasons like censorship of certain lines (not really known for sure) so hence the dubbing. But I’m so happy to rewatch this with you!!

Jen

Yay another series, love this one as well. Great that you caught on to all the details in the first episode, excellent reaction! Episode is too short, not enough to watch!

Love in the clouds is classified as a "xianxia" which basically means high fantasy (like you said magic and such) while, Pursuit of jade and others fall into the "wuxia" which more in lines with martial arts (like you said based more in reality) Anyways Love in the Clouds OST is amazing has alot of songs that have stuck with me.

this is my favorite cdrama ever, but he also wasn’t the one who took her powers btw i won’t say who but it wasn’t him just so you don’t see him as this bad person because he isn’t a bad person he’s a really good character it wasn’t him

RahaMi

okayyy it was fun watching 1st episode wth u.

DryLtd

This looks actually fun. I will watch ahead. It has been a awhile since I watched a Xianxia drama.

Gypsy

OMG???????

Brissygirl

I just finished reading the novel this is based on and it is completely different to the drama. Joe I think you will really enjoy Love in the Clouds, there will be times where you will want to throw hands at some characters and others where you will be close to tears.

Brissygirl

BTW unrelated to the show but the actor playng Ji Bozai (ML) Hou Minghao is a really good singer too. I don't remember if he has a song in this drama but he does in his newest one Key to the Phoenix Heart. He's also worked with Liu Yuning on Treasured Voice and got through to the final round of Singer which is an American Idol type show in China.

Brissygirl

Which song is Ning's?

𝗄𝗒𝗎

yes his song is actually in the main parts of the series

Bobby Tadd

This seems very interesting with it being more fantasy

Mad Hatter

I understand the intention of not making him seem a bad character, but spoilers man. Huge spoilers. Some characters aren’t meant to be liked off the bat ://
