I think this is the first anime that goes past the initial relationship phase, which is rare enough, but that also deals with situations like this. Most anime gloss over the choice of school and distance but this one tackles it head on like you would need to in a proper relationship. The way all the relationships in this anime are built they all feel so much more real than in other anime and most tv shows.
