The last two episodes have been so good lately and it's not blood rushing action it's just mostly talking. Despite that I think they are at least in the top 10 maybe even top 5 for me so far. I feel like for the rest of this cour it's going to be straight cinema!

With this episode, I am sure Hitogami was lying last episode when he said that if Rudy didn't go that everything would be find and Paul would have lived. Now I am 100% sure Roxy and Norn, who was dead set on going if Rudy didn't go, would have died.

Such a GOATed anime watched it 3 times in one day, solo and 2 reactions and still was hanging on every word. It can't be overstated how much of a G old man Rudy was talking for that long while being hallowed out, and his last moments being able to see the ones he loved, and failed to protect again, just fuck man.

im pretty sure that Orsted, Hitokami, and Perugius can see the future based on Rudy's interactions with them... however im fairly certain that because Rudy is reincarnated they arent able to see his future or his presence in the timeline because Orsted says that paul should only have 2 daughters and shouldnt have a son... this leads me to believe that Hitokami is guiding Rudy based on the future of those around him and based on the comment Perugius made about Sylphy and Rudy's future son... maybe he is trying to avoid the birth of certain children of Rudy... and thus he foresaw a future where he loses both of his wives before he could concieve anymore future obstacles for his plan... i could be totally wrong here but it just didnt seem like a coincidence that roxy dies pregnant and sylphy soon after before they could have a son like perugius said... i havent read the manga or anything so if im right or wrong dont spoil it... just say cool theory and move on please...

I think Hitogami can't see from Rudy's POV (his Soul is not from this world, so Hitogami can't see him, presumably like he can't see Rudy pre-reincarnation to this world), just as he can't see what Orsted does anymore, as he off-handedly mentioned in passing to Rudy in S1 after the donut scene.

This is absolute PEAK. All the dead set people calling this Diddy Tensei and shit do not know what they are missing, but f them, we know peak when we see it, the lore and the world bulding is just so good. And this episode prooves it its only talking yet it is so good that it beats like 90% of current gen anime. Also another episode that was just basically taking was when Rudy met Nanahoshi in S2P2 and that was also peak. Now I am pretty sure (i was convinced even before) that Hitogami indeed lied to Rudy when talking about the labyrinth and how it would end up. My guess is that Roxy would most definitely die and that somehow plays into his plan and as someone cleverly recalled all of his "advices" basically side-railed Rudy from running into Roxy sooner and my guess is that their child is somehow special and thus Hitogami needed to get rid off Roxy (when did meet) or make it they never meet again. Paul and his party would also most likely die in the labyrinth if they even ever found the enterence to the boss room. They might die off before even going that far and if not most definitely die in the boss fight as Rudy was able to defeat the Hydra only because of his knowledge from previous life. Hitogami is A SNAKE, he lies as easily as he breathes and all he said would happen if Rudy decided to not go is plain lie, also Norn might also have died if she somehow runaway from home and she would died somewhere on the road if Rudy decided to stay. I am very intrigued now how this will play out after recieving this knowledge, will his diary also contain some crazy spells? What will happen next, cannot wait. Just the fact that we will have to wait for Part 2 idk how long makes my skin crawl, but oh well.

i could just be putting stuff together that has no correlation, but my guess is this has something to do with the fact that if rudues has a son, that means something to perugius. hitogami knows that roxy would have a son and that why he got roxy killed. idk, i just caught up with the show after watching these last 2 episodes, originally stopped watching in s1 when rudy first met back up with his dad after the displacement event
