Mad Hatter

21:36 pretty much yep on the heart bond array and imprint. An imprint is a pact made after/during the marriage ceremony. The heart *array* is a spell cast by two people who share that bond/imprint.

32:30 ming yi does have spiritual veins, they are just brittle, corrupted and poisoned. Hence why whenever she uses strong spells (not like small telekinesis opening a door or smth) she drops a petal of the grief blossom and ticks closer to her primordial spirit being destroyed (basically death with no reincarnation).

Mad Hatter

35:40 about Situ Ling again - he does not have spiritual veins. The best way I have grasped the "vein" thing in this show is: all characters are born possessing primordial spirits. Basically souls. . They can draw on power from either their spiritual veins (internal source) or cultivated energy sources (external sources) like artefacts, dark arts, like netherbeasts for example. They aren't the conventional way of doing things. In most cases, spiritual veins prevail over external sources of power. However, they aren't all born equal. Some have stronger veins, others weaker. Like wider or narrower rivers. What is inner QI? In China it is considered the primary life force flowing through all living things. Even those without spiritual veins in this world have QI and can channel it into artefacts for spells. If you have veins, your body can store inner QI, cultivate it and disperse it at will. However if you don't have that storage box in you (aka those veins) you cannot contain QI properly and can either borrow it from other living beings/items or use it in short bursts. Like Situ Ling did to activate the artefacts he searched Ji Bozai's home with. Also, another instance of "borrowing" life force was shown when Ming Yi used a girl's hair pin to borrow its life force/soul/atoms/energy whatever you wanna call it. She even pointed out that she is "borrowing" power from it.

The action scenes this episode were great

The markings Xinliu was carving on the wall is how people in China mark time in bunches of five. Basically it's their equivalent of how we write four vertical lines with one horizontal line crossing them to, for example, mark five days and then another bunch like that for 10 days and so on. Sorry, I'm really bad at explaing lol.

This teasing he does is proof he doesn't sleep with any of those women. He doesn't trust enough to get that close.

Waiting for update of next episode!! Can't wait for 12 and 13!!

Brissygirl

In he novel Bozai's womanising is 1000% worse! He would have a different girl every night and wouldn't have the same girl twice. Ming Yi is the exception. Oh Master She is here at last!!! He is such an awesome character.
