Ming yi was the name of the herb gathers daughter. He doesn't know she's ming Xian yet he went through with the heart bond because as he said because of her being accused it implicates him if to they leave without it being written on the stone they both will be arrested as traitors or something also when he said " I'll make you feel pain when I'm in pain" the heart bond connects them to eachothers emotions so if he is in emotional pain she will also feel it now.

The soundtrack/OST is fired I agreed: When he was collecting stardust the ml I¡himself was the one signing that song. At the next scene when he was carving the stone with their names ( prisoner of beauty ml Liu Yuning was the one singing that song)

exactly, it's basically him trying to prove to the others and give them 'evidence' that she is Ming Yi not Ming Xian even though she isn't, which is why the stone kept rejecting the name Ming Yi as its not her actual name

I want to say they play the "oh dont be a fool act" infront of all these people because they cant outright call him out on his bs. he is a very powerful person, more powerful than our princess as we see. So without any evidence of his actual wrong doings, he "looks like" this ig niave guy who keeps getting tricked by the wrong poeple. if they accused him rn with no prrof, he could immedietly get rid of them somehow. So even though they know he's bad, ESPECIALLY the princess (bc its his neice and he is the one keeping her from her father), they have to play the game lol. Something else i find funny about cdramas is that they sometimes cut out at the most random times, so you just have to watch the next episode lmao then all of the sudden youve watched six of them

I would say they use the boat in case of injury or guests that cannot teleport. I guess?

It's been a while so you may not remember but Ming Xian chose the name Ming Yi in like episode 1 back when she was walking through the forest near the Sunken Abyss and she sees the dead couple against a tree. Ming Yi is the name of their daughter. They had stuff in their basket or whatever for the original Ming Yi. When Bozai and Ming Yi were doing the couple trial thingy I was confused because I thought that happened later, but I guess I was wrong.
