I gave the 1st season a 9, and this season an 8. It's clear that I have a soft spot for the Nanboku-cho period, with the likes of Elusive Samurai and World Is Dancing. In terms of the 2nd season, it felt more like a build-up season for what would obviously come next in the series. I've seen complaints from some viewers that the "quality" has come down with the 2nd season. However, I feel that it's less about quality and more about where we are in the story. As this season adapts the lesser thrilling in-between parts of the early story. (Not quite the beginning, but certainly not the 50th percentile). If CloverWorks is willing to do a third season and keep up the good work, I'd say that the payoff in terms of the adaptation would be momentous.
