yeah this anime is very tropey in terms of story with an interesting setting and production. but it's alright if you're looking for a thing to watch to unwind without thinking too much about story lmao. making peace with these thinngs does make it a 7/10...

as tropey as the show is ikuma and mumei made it enjoyable, and the animation is pretty damn good, also a few things to assume to make it a better watching experience, platforms are too far apart for them to go forward using them (this is pure assumption), they're all idiots acting in fear so anything stupid is that (u said this already), the woman is a sheltered noble, also this was meant to be her transition to being a leader, the sacks probs have varieties depending on situation or position (he was one of her guards), the romance between mumei and ikoma is the only part of this story thats actually got common sense for the most part. also if u couldnt tell, i like the show.

I personally rate it around a 6/10 but I am really strict on rating things. I don't think there is such a thing as a 10/10 because that would mean it had no flaws at all, and that is impossible. For instance a 5/5 for me would just be "it's ok". I think even for stuff like AOT I still only give the first 2 seasons an 8/10 and the last 2 a 7/10. I still enjoy watching anything that is even a 5/5 though. As long as the good and the bad are balanced, I will watch something.

I feel it would of been better for the train part to have her key get stolen and they start a rebel against her group. That would of caused drama but didn't make her as useless as she is.
