Don't know who the credit goes to for this but all the little theming with the books on the table is great.

DannyC

more half court shots attempts from Casey like in the creature eater episode pls thx

Breanne Needles

Casey’s passion for this movie is just incredible to witness

da_numba_2_pussy_eater

wanting to listen to this ep is the push i needed to finally go see dune 2

Ben Hillard

I do agree with Mitch that Dune part 2's last scene felt off to me. Like it was made to set up for dune messiah but that movie hasn't even been announced yet. I am sure it's true to the books but I don't think that translates as well to the movie. I also agree with Casey that I want a 6 hour dune movie.

Please dont bring Casey in front of camera again, he's just not good.

“the movie was anticlimactic”. Not everything needs to be some big triumphant “this is the end”. There’s more than one way to make a movie. I only hear these sorts of complaints from people who grew up watching action movies from the 80s and 90s and are mad that new movies aren’t like what they liked when they were kids. I’m sorry Mitch, culture changes, the times are changing. I’m almost 37, we’re close in age, it’s time to get over it.

I think Mitch just hates subtlety or anything remotely adult

Casey has a great broadcasting voice. I’ve never noticed before

James

Great job Casey! Thanks for all your hard work on this show we all love.

Corey Vaughan

bros what are you doing, eat the chicken at Dune, it's incredible.

Timo Supremo

Casey is the best, iconic laugh

Austin McDougle

I know they only talked about the prequels for like one minute, but it’s insane to me people still think 3 is the best one. it’s feels like the one that’s cosplaying as a good movie trying to resolve into a movie everyone already likes. Also I agree w Mitch on Dune 2 but I respect the movie a lot

I started listening to Casey’s Pit Wall podcast a while back as I really enjoy his time in Doughboys and now it’s a regular listen for me, so it’s great to get some dedicated Double time with him on. His Dune obsession has very much made its way into that show too and I love it!

Hard to believe they didn't test out the AMC sandworm popcorn bucket for its...more alternative usage

Great episode! I have also seen Dune Part Two in IMAX three times now and will probably go again. Wanted to offer a *polite* um, actually, re: the boys saying the design of Geidi Prime and the Harkonnens was probably faithful to the book—the Harkonnens are not described to all be bald in the book, and their environs are depicted as generically opulent. The black-and-white BDSM, everyone-is-bald-and-horny aesthetic seems to be drawn from H.R. Giger's designs for Jodorowsky's Dune as they mentioned, and created by Villeneuve's very talented design team.
