It seemed like every non-superhero comic book in the 90s featured a certain type of “junk food” aesthetic. A character’s room or apartment would be littered with soda cans, bags of chips, fast food packaging, and candy wrappers. (Probably aided by the influence of Geof Darrow’s Hard Boiled) One comic that comes to mind is DC’s MAJOR BUMMER (1997-98) by John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke.
