Guys, of the restaurants that you haven't been to, do you have any that you're excited to try? and any that you are kinda scared of? (maybe there's a devil in the logo?)

Jonathan Mullally

Is there a specific snack that you enjoy eating with a specific show - not including sports.

mr_viper

Hey guys! I have a general question for you. I'm kind of fanatical about concerts... I'm 31 and I've been to over 200 of them. Lots of festivals, all types of genres, but mostly electronic. What are your favorite concerts of all time, or at least some super notable or special ones? My favorite would definitely have to be Daft Punk at Coachella 2006. Keep up the good work, your show is an absolute delight. - Ryan

Pure Guava

What’s the best present you’ve ever received and what would be #1 on your wish-list this year?

Andrew Dittmann

I know that Nick used to work in the video game industry, but what are your opinions on BOARD games? Any favorites?

Andy Goergen

Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey: which wins game of the year?

Stephen Maturen

If you could easily cook/replicate one fast food item at home, what would it be, and why? ;)

Pure Guava

Do you have to deal with Trump-supporting family members when you go home for the holidays and if so, how do you deal with their bullshit?

Nick Ramirez

Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, tamales were a Christmas-time staple. My family would gather round the kitchen table for nearly a full day of rolling up and cooking dozens of tamales, which would last us for weeks. It wouldn't feel right opening presents on Christmas morning without a tamale breakfast. What local foods do you associate with Christmas?

Adonal Foyle

Here are 2 Q's, you don't have to ask both. Or any for that matter. Hope everything's going well in your post-college life!! Mitch, what's it like hosting a podcast in your home? Why did y'all move in the first place, and how hard was the transition? I want to start recording a podcast out of my tiny Chinatown apartment in NYC, but I'm afraid that people won't feel comfortable and that I'm a bit of a slob. What's it like to both host a podcast and host a guest in your home? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. #SpoonNation4Life #IGotThatMitchItch. Nick, your intros are incredible! I was wondering what your process is for prepping them. What are your sources? How do you map out the story, especially when you're connecting something non-food related (i.e. politics, history, etc) to the chain restaurant? I really think you should go back to reading them at the top of the show while the guest is there because it provides some insight to the conversation. I also think you should post them somewhere online! Thanks guys!

SenorScience

What type of cuisine would you like to see have its own brand of chain restaurant that doesn't have one already?

Samuel Rogal

What would your dream version of the Turducken be? What food inside of another food inside of another food would you create?

Pure Guava

Is LA really as deserted on Christmas morning as people say and if so how do you take advantage of the empty freeways?

Ben Cates

What are your some of your family holiday traditions? My grandmother always brings a gross vegetable jello mold to all family gatherings and no-one eats it but yet she keeps making it.

Dwayne the Rock Hudson

If you could eliminate one word from the other's vocabulary forever, what word would it be?

Connor Bliss

Create a mount Holidaymore of your favourite Holidays?

Craig Glaser

What food item do you think deserves a national chain dedicated to it?

Joshua Carlon

Let's talk holiday bevs! Do you prefer a spiked cider, a frothy nog, a winter brew dog, or something else entirely? Y'all are the best.

Kevin Gootee

As Harry and Marv in a Home Alone reboot... which house would you rather walk through? The McCallister home in 1 or the abandoned home in 2? Keep in mind, your fate ends with either a shovel to the face or covered in bird seed and attacked by Central Park pigeons.

Bobby

Do you guys also feel that the turkey is the weakest part of the Thanksgiving meal? If yes, what centerpiece do you think should replace it? If you're a turkey fan on the other hand (#theyoungturkeys), what preparation do you think makes it the best?

atf_pupper

Did you ever have any Christmas morning traditions for those hours before the rest of the family wakes up? For me it was raiding the stocking for butterscotch Lifesavers.

Jeremy Frank

Eggnog, apple cider, or hot mulled wine: what's the best holiday liquor delivery vector?

Colin Wood

Does Mitch believe in Krampus? You know, that terrible movie with national treasure Adam Scott?

Brian Necastro

Why does anyone eat cranberry sauce?

Dean Silfen

What does Mitch think of Killer Mike rapping a verse on the current season of South Park?

Bobby Beans

What do you predict the next big food trend will be? I.e. recent ones like ramen, banh mi, sushi burritos. and what SHOULD it be?

matthew drazin

Hi Doughboys, I just finished listening to The Great Shrimp Off (Wiger totally threw it by eating all that soup). It inspired me to visit my local Pink Shrimpies and indulge on some endless shrimp. As i was eating the delicious shrimp skewers and scampi i ran into a problem where my usual shrimp eating technique of giving the end of the tail a bite with my from teeth to loosen the meat enough to slide out when tugged was failing. The tails did not slide out no matter what i did. This put me in a tough situation - either i sacrifice the tail meat or i eat the shell (though not the tail part). My question to you guys is: Is it ok to eat the shell of a shrimp? - @drazin P.S. I ate the shells.

Shane Parker

Worst Christmas gift you received as a kid? Best Nintendo themed Christmas memory?

Shane Parker

You can choose one food to banish from holiday meals, which food do you choose? For me, stuffing. You can stuff stuffing. Get that wet bread shit OUT of here.

Corey Floyd

Best and worst holiday pie? Or a ranking.

Robert Persinger

Hey Doughboys, If you were to do another tour in 2018, where would you like to visit? I think you should travel to Quincy and record a few episodes. Take Corinne Mitchell to one of her favorite restaurants, and do a few episodes with Mitch's Quincy friends as guests. Think of the ratings!

Michael

Why did you pick Thursday as release day? Good choice just curious.

Travis Bursik

I sent you shirts with Spicy Chicken Sandwiches on them and then Yusong said that he would give them to you. Did he steal them? Why does Yusong need two shirts with Spicy Chicken Sandwiches on them?

James T

Pick one: Amazing Xmas meals, but crappy Xmas gifts for the rest of your life, OR Amazing Xmas gifts and crappy Xmas meals for the rest of your life. Wiger-technicalities: You always have to eat the meal, and you have to keep/use the gifts.

von

Are the doughboys releasing the live episodes?

von

will there be an Episode IIX minisode via Skype?

Nic

For 35 years my Mom makes scones only for Christmas breakfast. My family (minus my brother) wants to make scones 4 or 5 times a year, cause they are delicious. Hopefully Still keeping it a special treat. My brother freaks the F/:$ out if its not Christmas and scones are made. Whos right? I get its a super special thing, but man scones a handful of times would be amazing. Once a year or quarterly?

Dom M.

Do you guys prefer Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Is it true that Mitch can often be found on various street corners ranting about how "they" keep trying to takeaway Christmas from America? Can Mitch elaborate as to who "they" might be?

“Scoop”

If you could slam dunk on anybody, who would it be? Like a Shaq dunking on Chris Dudley dunk.

Danny Perez

You guys have talked a lot about beers on the show but I'd be really curious to hear a deeper dive on recent trends in craft beer - like the explosion in popularity of hazy New England IPA's, or sours.

Danny Perez

Ps bring Stefan AKA @boring_as_heck on the pod!!

John Aramini

Best bread for a breakfast sandwich? Bagel, croissant, biscuit, Texas toast, a McGriddle?

Aaron Blankenship

Hey dudes, both of you like the NBA, who is your favorite player not on the team you support? Which NBA player do you think would be a great Doughboys guest?

Alex mccormack

What's a fast food concept you think is missing right now? Is there a niche you think you'd like to see filled?

The Tale of the KetchupSpectre

I know that Nick is big on video game soundtracks, and I think I've heard a brief snippet of a Mario Kart 64 remix ("Day's End" I believe) played accidentally on a few episodes, so my question is: Are you fans of video game remixes? And if so, what's some of your favorites?

Alex mccormack

If you could get a doctorate degree in any field (made-up or existing): What would it be and what would be your thesis?

Ben Krymalowski

As a Canadian listening to the pod i get hyped up on alot fast food that isnt avaible here and ive never tried. Are there any chains that you've never been or maybe arnt available to you that you want to try out?

Bailey

I wanted to ask this at the Seattle show when it was still relevant but chickened out. Halloween still counts as a holiday though, and since time isn’t just a flat circle.... With Halloween coming up there are a lot of different mixed bags of 4-5 candies to get for trick or treaters. What’s your ideal candy combo for a perfect mixed bag?

Bailey

Alternatively, what is your stance on seasonal flavors? Worth the hype? Should just be available year round? Which is the king?

Casey Dell Otto

what's your favorite activity to do while eating? i usually like to watch something, in part because it makes me eat slower. do you ever eat while playing video games?

Wes Mohn

Any stories of getting a little too drunk at a holiday gathering, either your family, a girlfriend's or a friend's? It seems like a pretty common mistake to make

MARCIA

The absolutely best singular thing that you have ever eaten !

Dylan Nash

Hey Spoonman and Double Reed! Do you have a holiday tradition that you do every year? Whether it's going to a certain family members house or a certain food you look forward to?

Norris Boris

What age were you when you learned/deduced Santa wasn't real?

Melissa MacDormand

Hey Doughboys, what's your take on eggnog as a tasty holiday treat? Is it a snack or whack?

Jesse Michel

Hey doughboys, hey yusong. Any holiday treats you wish could be around all year?

Demian Kendall

Four rounds. Three cookies. One beverage. If you were to draft (snake-style) cookies and milk for Santa, what are your picks?

Alex Staniloff

Hey dudes, when Umami opened up in New York, someone brought a Cronut (from the famous Dominique Ansel Bakery) to Umami and made their own Cronut-Umami burger hybrid sandwich. If you could Frankenstein two fast-food/chain items together, what would it be? Also, I'm the guy who gave you guys the candy bar at the Now Hear This show - when are you gonna try my snack??

ETHAAAN B

Sup yall. i'm going to Disneyland tomorrow and i'm looking forward to getting on Indiana Jones Adventure and eating one of those tasty-ass chicken sandwiches at the Red Rose Tavern. What' yall's favorite thing to eat and ride at D-land or any other theme park of your choice????

Dubious Legacy

Favorite Street Fighter character? Favorite Mortal Kombat character?

Grimble Crumble

REINVENTING THE HOLIDAY MEAL - My family would alternate between one wildcard meal and one traditional meal on either thanksgiving or Xmas. So if we had turkey on thanksgiving, we would do lasagna, or enchiladas, or BBQ brisket, or some other non-traditional meal on Xmas. I usually liked the wildcard meal more, but I also liked the consistency/tradition of the turkey and stuffing and so on. So my question is, if you could establish a new traditional American holiday meal that would become the norm in perpetuity, what would it be?

Greg

I love when a bar or restaurant embraces the holiday season with holiday beers and cocktails. I think Christmas especially lends itself to delicious alcoholic drinks, but some people can't stand alcohol with the flavors of Christmas. How do you guys feel about holiday drinks? What do you like drinking around the holidays?

Al

Howdy how spoon nation. Airbus recently had a venison sandwich for one day only. What's your favorite limited promotional item? What's the strangest meat you have had in a fast food joint?

Joel Yeomans

Nick, how did you manage to get the Jump-Rope Genius moon in Super MARIO Odyssey? It’s so hard!

Josh Bays

Dear Doughboys: Every year since I've been born my family has flown across the country to return to my parent's ancestral homeland of Michigan. Now that we are all adults we are starting a "every other year" schedule and having our first California Christmas together. This "first Christmas" of a new variety affords us the opportunity to start our food and drink traditions from scratch, which is a great opportunity to spice up our Christmas table with some new options. If you were designing a new menu of holiday food and drink what would you include? Are there any special food traditions you remember loving growing up, or that you later invented as an adult? Thanks!

Tim Campbell

Hey Nick, Mitch, and Guest and/or Yusong, On a recent episode, Mitch mentioned that his family usually has lobster on Christmas Eve. His story brought to mind my own family's recently-begun but much-loved tradition of going out to a Tiki bar to drink rum drinks and eat bad Chinese food a couple days before Christmas. It's completely out of the spirit of the season, but that just makes it more fun. Do you have any non-orthodox holiday traditions that you enjoy with your family or friends? Thanks!

honeyNUTnelson

Everyone’s favorite part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers. My friend Monica makes a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but has innovated the medium with the creation of a gravy soaked piece of bread called a ‘moist maker’ that lies in the middle of the sandwich. What are some of your ideas for unconventional Thanksgiving leftover innovations??!?!

Quincy Goode

With the early part of the Switch's life seeing entries from some of Nintendo's most popular IP (Mario Kart, Mario, Zelda) and a number of other big titles, what will be the big titles coming to the Switch next year? What games do you want to see announced for Switch? I'd love Smash Brothers or Animal Crossing.

Nathan Jungemann

Hey b-b-b-bois. Just curious if you've ever ate at one of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives locations? I live in the Twin Cities and went to a Lebanese restaurant he featured on the show. Say what you will about Guy, but the shows producers knew a good restaurant when they saw it.

Jack sullivan

In the UK almost everyone has the same 'Christmas dinner' usually consisting of turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing, sprouts and other veg (Basically a giant sunday roast!). What was the usual Christmas meal for you guys growing up?

Bobby Beans

I think "holiday delivery vector" is the name of Wiger's Christmas album

Curtis

My family has several specific food traditions for Christmas morning, aside from dinner. First, hot, sticky, cinnamon buns in the morning (and now that we are older, alcohol). Also, everyone gets a Chocolate Orange in their stocking. Do you guys have any special Christmas morning food memories?

Ben Pierce

Did you guys ever have advent calender's with candy in them when you were growing up? When I was young I would patiently wait for my daily treat (Wiger style) and as I got older I would just eat all the candy at once (Mitch style).

Jard & Ali

Hi Doughboys. Food aside, which restaurants' business practices would put them on your naughty and nice lists?

Geoff Weber

Hi guys, as a kid, I always enjoyed making/decorating holiday shaped sugar cookies but taste-wise, they were always the last cookie I would ever want to eat. (As Gary Gulman said: "Every cookie is a sugar cookie. A cookie without sugar is a cracker.") How would you rank all the cookies, and what would go on Mt. Cookiemoore?

Sam

Hey boys - I know this is a controversial take, but I hate Thanksgiving food. Traditional turkey day dishes are all bland holdovers from before people knew what good food should taste like, and I strongly believe that there's a reason most people only eat those things on one specific day of the year (it's because they suck.) If you could reinvent the the traditional Thanksgiving meal, what would be on your plate?

Bobby Libby

Hi Doughboys. I have a modest suggestion / potential #HotTake and all I ask is you hear me out. Apologies in advance for the long message. We are a few months away from another Olympics, this time the weirder and therefore better and more entertaining Winter Olympics. Now, obviously, it's beyond dispute that the Doughlympics experiment was a tremendous failure and worst string of episodes in the podcast's history. But we could try to forget it ever happened, or learn from the mistakes and try again, with some new twists. I present to you: the Winter Doughlympics: Frozen Food Fight. You see, the Doughlympics were marred by consuming the food on air and idiotic challenges (fry counting?) and trying to coordinate getting the food from various locales to be consumed at the same time, leading to variance in food temps and quality. Well there is an element of "fast" food that Doughboys has not previously explored: The frozen food aisle! Stauffers vs. Marie Collanders. Hungry Man vs. Newman's Own. Whose frozen pizza is best? Whose ice cream will reign supreme? There are a lot of ways you can go with it and given that the food is intended to be frozen and reheated, should hopefully be easier to coordinate. And by coordinate, I mean for Yusong to coordinate, who will return as commissioner. Evan Susser, meanwhile, should be permanent judge for the entire month, if his schedule allows, in addition to a weekly guest judge. I know this all seems like a bad idea, but if you ask me it's just dumb and crazy enough to potentially be great, and open up about a realm of fast food previously under-discussed on the podcast. God Bless Spoon Nation, Bobby

Jason

Can we get a Christmas meal draft?

Sandra Park-Callaghan

Yusong, what was a typical Christmas day/meal for you, not having grown up in a prototypical pasty white Christian household?

Damian Sein

If each of you had to name a signature sandwich after the other what would the sandwiches be?

Peep

Hi, guys! Wiger frequently mentions that he doesn't like doing the show, and Mitch has always said he's not interested in working at it. You both recently revealed that you're always looking for an "out," and often talk about ending the whole venture. Given your respective levels of disinterest (seemingly from day 1), my question is this: what motivated you to start the podcast in the first place? BONUS QUESTION: How can we, mere comedy fans, return you both to that optimistic state of starry-eyed innocence?

Brittany Connor

If you had to eat each other what part would you eat and how would you prepare it

Jack Smith

What is better, Thanksgiving dinner or the leftover sandwich? Do you like large family gatherings or would you prefer a smaller, closer knit crowd? Best christmas present ever? (If you're all gunna say a fucking nintendo just skip this.)

Jeremy Burchett

Guys, how about a super-sized Roast Spoonman episode or segment for the double?

Adam McD

I once spent Thanksgiving day family-less and on by lonesome drinking Bud-Ice tallboys and making a questionable drive to the only chain open at the time: Jack in the Box. I must have ate 12 tacos in a single sitting on my living room floor while streaming episodes of TNG. It was a dark time. What is the saddest holiday meal you've had as an adult? \

Collin D.

Hi guys, first time, long time etc. If Doughboys were to end tomorrow and someone were to offer you a blanket deal to create something new - together - with no other restrictions, what would you do? On a similar note, what are both of your -individual - dream projects, things you'd love to make or do in the future?

Adam McD

Is Gremlin's a Christmas movie? Is Jurassic World a Christmas movie?

Pure Guava

Describe your version of the perfect grilled cheese

Pure Guava

Nick: Who would you place on the panel for a celebrity roast of Mike Mitchell? Dream panel, alive or dead. Mike: same question but the roast is for Nick

Adam McD

What was your favorite school lunch item? Did you guys have any fastfood heavy-hitters like Domino's or Chik-fil-a? Or was it square pizza all-day everyday?

Bill Zilch

Are there any foodstuffs that you used to like, but then got sick of due to oversaturation? When they first started doing pretzel buns on burgers I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Now I never want one again.

Squote

What makes Wiger madder: the assertion that he hates fries, or that he likes hot salad?

Bryan Risinger

Because of so many relatives going to several Christmas dinners my family has started doing a Christmas brunch with pancakes, breakfast pizza and the usual spread of breakfast fare in place of the traditional Christmas dinner. What do you think of non-traditional holiday meals?

Nathan

Nick - in the "Gungan Style" sketch there's a scene where you take a bunch of pills and do a drowsy "peace out" gesture to the mirror. Is this a visual nod to the similar scene in the Tom Cruise movie Vanilla Sky? That was my favorite movie as a teen and I think it holds up.

Marvin Dompor

Hey Mitch, Nick, and Yusong! Greetings from Guam! We're still here! I'm Filipino and one thing we do for Christmas and New Years is eat dinner at midnight. For Christmas we would then open gifts. For New Years, there are many Filipino superstitions such as having coins in your pocket so you have money for the new year and repeatedly jumping in hopes of growing tall. The latter definitely doesn't work because my family is still helplessly short. As for my question, did your families have any quirky traditions? Yusong definitely must have some. Cause you know, Asians. Thanks!

Charles Edwards

Hey guys, Have you ever visited a friend or partner's house for Thanksgiving or Christmas and been completely thrown by what's on the menu? For me its visiting my fiance's family in Ohio and being served Marshmallow Salad. (So gross). What are your surprise menu items?

Simone

Hi guys! First off, listening to doughboys twice a week keeps the spark alive in my boyfriend's and my relationship, so thanks for that! A couple things about holidays: First, I think you should review Popeye's Thanksgiving Turkey--does it stand up to homemade. Second, when I was a kid, we often ordered Burritos on Christmas eve from a California-style burrito place in NYC. Burritos are my favorite food, and savoring a delicious burrito with the fam was every bit as exciting as real Christmas dinner the following day. Did you grow up with any holiday traditions that involve takeout or fast food?

Mike Marsh

An alien comes from outer space looking for insight into American life. What fast food items are a must try for him? What movies are a must watch? And what video games must be played? Big fan of the show. Come to Chicago, first Italian beef is on me. Thanks!

Fapdragon

Wigo and Mitch! Assign a dish perfectly designed for each film genre: Action, Horror, Drama, Comedy and for relevance, Holiday.

Alex Moore

All of my ex-girlfriends have a low tolerance for spicy foods, but I’m a natural heatseeker myself. Do you think there is a link between a person’s personality and their tolerance for the hot goods? And, if so, is it significant enough to be used as a means to judge whether or not two people are romantically compatible? Love the show and would like to have it brought up that Wiger played a man who saves a woman from being sexually assaulted by a certain someone in the 2012 romantic comedy Tit Cup. Feel free to shoutout any or none of my dumb twitter accounts. @AlexShaneMoore @ScottFart @ProJetskier

Miles Hastings

Hey mitch and nick, i go out for dinner roughly once a week with my pals. My friends usually bring their significant other but lately they're becoming a real drag to bring out. Its almost guaranteed that the girlfriend(s) will flip their switch and either yell or belittle the server over minor mistakes. Please doughboys help me, how do I extinguish this situation. Thanks

mr_dumb_shit

Hi Doughboys! In a recent episode, Nick mentioned that in the past he has left trash behind at a movie theatre rather than toss it on his way out. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when people are at a fast casual restaurant or coffee shop and leave their trash and dishes at the table. As my friend said, if there's trash, you better leave cash. What are some of your pet peeves when going out to eat? --Zach

Andrew Caudill

Can Hick Winger and Hike Mitchell get their own episode?

Andrew Caudill

Hey Doughboys, What would be Yusong and Evan Susser's equivalent to SpoonNation and the Burger Brigade? Also Nick, do you put dressing on your salad before or after you heat it up?

Ryan

When’s the Brandon Wardell ep drop?

Jackson Boes

Hi doughboys! Recently Taco Bell held a contest to host and cater a wedding for a couple in their Las Vegas location, and coincidentally another podcaster won that contest. My question for you guys-if you could have a wedding at a chain restaurant and get it catered by that chain, including a dessert as a cake, where would you choose? This is assuming Mitch somehow finds a Star Wars prequel loving lady that says yes of course.

Caleb and Emily Gilgan

Hey Doughboys gang! My girlfriend (now fiancée) and I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago and are beginning the process of planning our wedding. We are both lovers of food so nailing that element of the wedding is really high on our list of priorities. What is the best meal you guys have ever had at a wedding (Kalpakis?) and do you have any tips on how to nail the food at a wedding? Nick, what was the food like at your wedding? And Mitch, I'm so so sorry.

Jonathan Jackson

Who would last longer on a desert island Mitch or Wiger?

Hotsaucebob

Hi Yusong, Do you have any hot-as-a-salad gossip on either of the doughboys?

ruth trow (roaminghart11)

Growing up we would alway have Lindt truffles at Christmas, so whenever I eat them I think of the holidays. What food most makes you think of the holidays?

Rob Zorch

Snack or whack? mixing together your turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and gravy

clump soul

Much like The Hobbit menu takeover at Denny's and the Yougurtland Super Mario Bros. flavor takeover on the Doughboy's Yogurtland episode, curate a menu for Steak N' Shake with a Sonic the Hedgehog theme. (This question is for Susser included)
