I love love love grilling romaine hearts and had a whole healthy mix of oil pepper salt and lemon I would put on it. I say "had" because I no longer rent a house where I can go grill style but one day I will again and the first thing on there will be grilled romaine hearts. I guess this makes me pro hot salad?! I have a non-trolling question about Hot Salad. I have been known to mix my green salad with pasta sauce if the two are sharing a plate. I have also enjoyed throwing romaine hearts on the BBQ during the grilling season. If forced, what is one thing that qualifies as Hot Salad that both of you would look forward to eating?

Hey Doughboys - As a kid who grew up in a relatively healthy household, I developed some strange snacking habits. I would rummage through cupboards for anything that wasn't directly fruit-related as that made up a lot of my diet. This meant snacking on things like croutons and french fried onions - a habit I still haven't broken in my mid-20s. My significant other doesn't think this is weird, but I've felt the need to hide my strange snacking habits from roommates and friends in the past. What do you think: can salad toppings be a snack? Hey Doughboys! My husband and I love going to a local diner near our home. It is by far our favorite place to eat out - the food is great, the service is great, there's only one problem...they only have Hunt's ketchup. We both grew up eating nothing but Heinz and feel strongly that all other brands are subpar, so much so that we're thinking about starting to bring our Heinz with us. Please help us settle our debate. If we were to look inside the diner owner's fridge at home, would we find a. a bottle of Hunt's (he's a rare Hunt's guy), b. a bottle of Heinz (he has good taste but is also cheap), or c. no ketchup (he doesnt use ketchup so he doesn't know any better)? I live in Boise, Idaho and am curious if you're familiar with a couple of our local items. First, "finger steaks" which are battered and deep fried strips of steak served with cocktail sauce. And second, "fry sauce" which is available everywhere in Idaho and Utah.

Do you have any utensil preferences/hang-ups? I personally hate forks with 3 tines. I think they are cheap and don't do a good job. And at home, I never use the salad forks that came with my flatware set. I only use the larger dinner forks. I'm a huge fan of using iced tea spoons (very long handles), particularly when eating ice cream or yogurt. I don't like using soup spoons.

As a college student, the cost of food is very important to me (it's often the determining factor for whether I can get it!). As a result, relatively bad tasting food becomes "good," just because it's so cheap. For example, this restaurant near campus makes the worst egg and cheese sandwiches I've ever seen, but... they're a dollar. Are there any foods that are like that for you? Hello Mitch and your cold robotic companion. I have recently learned that my wife enjoys a similarly strange snack as Wigers beloved HOT salad. The poor woman enjoys cold chips. By that I mean she likes to refrigerate, or preferably put her chips in the freezer before consumption. Potato, corn, you name it. Do you guys have any advice on how to handle this situation? Also wanted to mention that I was at the Vancouver show, and strongly agree with Mitch’s recent bumping down of Japadogs score, the place is wack as hell. Hello D'Boys Now that the film is confirmed, I'd like to know your live-action Mario Bros casting.
