Hot Saucerman is gonna be pissed

Mitch Hull

#imanant I used to post on the Ants Marching boards all the time circa 2006-2009. Simpler times.

dc

anyone else think R U Talkin' DMB DMing Me? could've worked (DM = directly messaging) cause similarly to how R U Talkin' REM RE: Me is a stretch :P

Hunter Pendleton

NOT TO PICK NITS but this is really more of an Analyze Phish than a U Talkin' U2 to Me, and I know Mitch is familiar 'cause he was on an ep!

Hunter Pendleton

Oh also, very good ep. I'm excited for the next one. I love Wiger's comparisons to video games and his Wu-Tang reference. I loved Mitch's enthusiasm and wank stories

Noel Abastillas

Wow, I guess I have an appreciation for DMB now. I wish they showed a little more samples of their songs. It was more of a serious podcast; kinda wish they just did something that was a little funner. Mitch was saying "go listen to the song yourself," this doesn't work because I'm listening to the podcast as I do other things, so I'm not going to stop the podcast to listen to something else, and I'm not going to remember the song name to look up later. I hope they post that playlist on Twitter so I can listen to it.

Nick Maestri

do more about nick's favorite band.... the minions

Damian Sein

I'm into the idea of this being a recurring series on the Double.

Forrest Lillibridge

Mitch, please do an episode for every DMB album, then Nick can do episodes on his favorite artists (Donkey Kong Country OST, Ocarina of Time OST, etc.).

bardonut

This is great! Would totally listen to more episodes like this.

David Powell

would love for these boys to copy another couple boys and do a nerdy Hollywood Handbook, "Hollywood Game Manual", maybe?

Luke Hahn-Zollo

Mitch was on Analyze Phish? I don’t remember that, guess I’ll have to go back and listen again

Prof_Murph

I'm sure this is a controversial episode - but I LOVED it. Was a harcore DMB fan in college 20 years ago - my first DMB concert was in the basement of a frat house with a 6" plywood "stage." Easily saw the band more than a dozen times in those next few years. I stopped listening after the Crash release - as it was no longer 'cool' to like them. But today's episode brought some great memories - I sang along with Mitch and then played Remembering Two Things on the way to work today. Thanks for bringing me back to some long forgotten memories!

Ralphie

Please do not do another DMB Double.

Brandon Gilbrech

Carter is one of the top 5 drummers working in popular music today. Tinsley is a sexual predator and will not ever come back to DMB if they're smart. Also, this is very much like Will Hines' Screw It We're Just Going to Talk About the Beatles eps with Eugene Cordero. Also, get Will Hines on the Doughboys you bimbos. I loved this ep, and DMB Crowded streets and pre is the best.

Hunter Pendleton

Not as a guest, but he was at the second Phish show Scott and Harris went to, and blurts something quickly into the mic while, if I recall correctly, fucked up on mushrooms. But, yes, definitely go back and listen to all of them again. Harris was great and all those episodes are super entertaining. And there's an episode with Harris and Hanford that's pretty good.

ShakeNBakey

Beginning of the episode was pretty rough but I liked when they finally started talking about specific songs and such. Plus Wiger's video game comparisons were spot on

Laura Lynn

Keep diggin in! #DMBae

C4kleber

I will support you guys as long as the podcast is going your great! but BOOOO please no more eps like this. It is fun when you guys experiment but maybe too much without a guest.

Francisco Apen

This was my favorite doughboys double episode

Kyle Smucker

Wiger needs to host a Metallica episode

Christinski

im not a dmb fan but i loved this episode! dave matthews kinda sounds like peter gabriel if he was shitty

Joshua L Smith

Listened because I love you guys. Almost didn't listen because DMB is terrible.

Joshua L Smith

As long as he never talks about St. Anger again.

Charlie Clas

Love this ep. More DMB re me and more “passion project” type eps!

Joe Golfen

Oh man I loved this. As a lapsed DMB fan who is about the same age as Mitch, it was really fun to hear those old songs and hear him talk about growing up listening to them. Would love some more and a Metallica one from Nick would be awesome. Great work!

Joshua Steiner

I love hearin' the boys get along and when Mitch gets sincere about a topic he cares about. 5 Fork Episode. Here's hoping for a full 'Ants Marching' cover from Ole Two Spoons!

Shannon / Oddly Weird

I loved this so much :) Mitch singing along to the songs and Nick's comparisons to video game soundtracks made my DMB-ambivalent heart grow three sizes by the end of the episode. It's definitely a Boo-urns from me!

Blake

Not a big DMB guy, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back for getting my friend to listen to the podcast. It is also proof that the boys are interesting and wildly entertaining even without food.

Shane Morgan

I hate DMB very much but hearing Mitch talk music and Wiger relating it to video games was fantastic.

Kellen Beck

I love this band and have seen them live dozens of times! #DMBoourns

Fapdragon

Mitch said it perfectly. I don’t really like DMB as a whole but I think they’re some of the best musicians in popular music.

Mike

Didn’t win me over on DMB but still a fun listen. Would LOVE a Pink Floyd one of these

Malia Taylor

As a former DMB fan who now shrinks in embarrassment at the memories I admire Mitch for sticking with it all these years. Would've loved a mention of the acoustic Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds special which was pretty great. Even now I must admit the music was beautiful that day. Also, it was very sweet to see how open minded and receptive Nick was to all the DMB stuff. Seemed genuinely interested in learning why his beloved Mitchy Two Spoons enjoyed the band. Adorable! SIDE NOTE: As a teenage girl listening to DMB my older (and cooler) brother used to inform me that no guys really liked DMB except as a means to get chicks. Mitch has squashed that myth for good! Thanks for the great episodes guys, no matter how poorly done, we love ya!

Mike

Never be embarrassed about the things you like! I think we have a bias to think other people's opinions are more valid than our own, like they may know something we don't. I've found that people who would make you embarrassed to like DMB are just uninformed and defaulting to the easy opinion of what they think DMB is or represents. Don't let it bring you down!

Malia Taylor

Spoken like a true Dough Boy. I’ll take that to heart, thanks!

Farts Mckool

Damn it. I had to pay 5 bucks to skip threw dave Mathews for an hour lol
