I just got diagnosed with sugar intolerance. Would you rather give up Brew Dawgs or candy?

Matt D

Can we get a mario character draft? 6 spots. 2 protagonists, 2 enemies 1 power and 1 wild card (can be anything)

Thomas Pike

Is there any restaurant that is wildly acclaimed that you absolutely refuse to go back to due to one specific bad experience?

Eli Hodapp

Why has the best guest of all time, Bug Mane, only been on two episodes?

Nemrex Reservations

Apologies for reposting this question from the last open Feedbag. Just seeing if rolling the die again will get a shoutout. Anyway, If the doughboys became a Saturday morning cartoon, what would it’s plot/format be? Any merchandise or cereal tie-ins? I imagine something like the podcast crew having to combine into a Voltron made of fast-food to fight villains like Bug Mane or The Rumblies. Any thoughts?

MS Paint Trash

Hey guys! Do have any favorite food poisoning stories you'd like to share? 😊

There’s only 25 blimps in the world

What was the most fun movie theater experience you've had? Example: Even though I didn't think the movie was great, I had a blast seeing "Clerks 2" in my native New Jersey because the audience was very into it. Thanks!

Alex Mullenix

Dominos offers carryout insurance in case you spill your food on the way back home from picking it up, which sounds perfect for someone like Wiger. What chain restaurant innovation would you invent to make the experience more enjoyable?

Sean Perrotta

Do you feel like sliders are ever as good as a full burger? And where do you think they fit at a Chili’s-like chain? I feel like they’re too big for an appetizer, but too small for a meal.

Sam F Seagroves

Mitch do you eat food at concerts? Wiger why do you hate music?

Emilio

Have you ever combined two fast food locations for a meal? If not, what do you think would be a good combination? I work at a McDonald’s and on my break, I would get a large fry and walk over to the Taco Bell next door and get a beefy crunch burrito and a Baja Blast. P.S. As a fast food worker, thank you for your support for those in the industry. I really appreciate it.

James A. Villegas

What fast food chain should the Avengers eat at after they eventually defeat Thanos in Avengers:Endgame?

Jake Ryan Baker

Do you remember how Wendy's used to taste back in the day? Like the mid 00's. I used to be by Far and away my favorite restaurant but after some other changes its kind of dropped on my list, I feel like you guys have never really talked about that.

Samer Esmail

I’m not so much a fan of chain restaurants as much I’m a fan of your comedy and banter. What led you to start a podcast about chain food restaurants and did you have any other ideas before that? Also, how did it all start? I’m considering starting my own and am curious how you got the ball rolling!

Steve C-B

If you had to move to flee the country and start a new life somewhere else, which country would you flee to and why?

Eric Franck

If an evil wizard put a curse on you where you had to wear food instead of clothes, and eat clothes instead of food, what would you pick to wear and eat?

glen

Hey Mitch how did you feel about Fallout 4

Mauricio Diocis

To all: who are you maining in super smash bros?

Alex Staniloff

You’ve both been in your respective neighborhoods for some time, is there a neighborhood food/beverage joint where everybody (or at least one employee) knows you as a regular? Ie what’s your “Cheers”?

Granville Powers

Hey 'Boys. We all know about the Nick Wiger, the specialized mix of lemonade and tea. My question for Mitch and Yusong and Emma: what food or beverage do you make or request that you'd like your name to catch on as *the* short-hand for that item. I'll hang up and listen!

Zach

I’m a nurse and I work a lot of overnight, 1p-1a or 3p-3a shifts. When I get out I have a serious hunger and often turn to drive through food or occasionally 24 hour diner fare. What do you guys like when you’ve done a weird early/late shoot/record and you get hungry? (Please don’t just say post mates)

Joshua Steiner

Yusong, what is your favorite game to watch get speedrun-ed (speedran?) What game are you excited to watch at sgdq??

Tory Fields

If you had to choose a fast food/chain restaurant to cater your wedding, what would you choose and why?

Fred Friedman

To Nick, Emma and Yusong: Mitch has "Spoonman" by Soundgarden. Gabrus has "The Downeaster Alexa" by Billy Joel. What would you choose as your entrance music for a live show? (Nick- can I suggest "Go Get It" by Ruby Velle. I think you'd find the lyrics as on-the-nose as "Spoonman" is for Mitch)

Walker Ragland

What restaurant consistently gives you the rumblies but is totally worth it?

Pheelup Mybaloney

Rule 34 states that if you can imagine it, there’s porn of it. What would a Doughboys-centric porn look like?

Michael Devlin

Are you guys ever going to do a Quincy episode? I want a chance to beat Wiger up

Jay S

One of the biggest positives of chain restaurants is the ease and accessibility of eating there. That being said, there's a restaurant near me with great food, but eating there is a massive inconvenience. There's always a line, they don't do reservations or takeout, no tables that accommodate more than 4 and they only take cash and won't even split your bill. The food is good but eating there is such a chore at a certain point it's not even worth it. When choosing a place to eat what the bigger factor in your decision of where to go, goof quality or overall convenience?

All_In_The_Reflexes

Are there any foods you love when prepared a specific way, yet hate an alternative preparation? For instance, I think a spinach salad is great, but cooked spinach will literally make me gag, or I love French fries, but I think tater tots are disgusting. Thanks for all you do to entertain us with the podcast. I hope you continue for years to come, or at least until Mitch chokes the life out of Wiger and then gets taken out in a hail of police gunfire.

Andy Karr

Do any of you have one single meal in your life that stands out as the best you've ever had?

Alex Rizkowsky

I've been married to my wife for 8 years this coming July. Whenever we try a place for the 1st time (e.g. Rustic Canyon, Bestia, Alimento, etc) I feel as if I can guess what my wife will inevitably order with a very high level of accuracy. Generally speaking, when you guys go to a sit down restaurant do you feel you could successfully do that for one another and what does the other typically gravitate to?

“Scoop”

This is a pretty flagrant question. Nick has court side seats for a basketball game and obviously spills. Does his spill just cause a delay in the game or does it injure a player?

Madison Miller

Hey guys, Madi Miller here. I was on a work trip and stopped at Del taco drive thru after a big long meeting and I was starving. As I pulled up to the window to get my food, I saw that the gals working inside were struggling with what I though was a bee that had flown in through the take out window. One of them trapped the bee (which turned out to be a large fly) on the window facing me and continued to squash it quite dramatically while I watched the whole damn thing. I literally saw its guts burst out. I was horrified and so disgusted but so hungry after hours of meetings... I ate the burrito. I ATE IT! Any nasty drive thru/fast food stories? Am I a monster? Love you guys love the show. Madi Miller.

Joshua Bain

What’s the closest Mitch and wiger have ever come to physically dying not from food ?

Matt Martin

Mitch, does your disgusting scrotum look like a hard boiled egg that rolled across a barbershop floor?

Liz K

Cross-over idea with Podcast The Ride where you go to Disneyland and review your meals 💗 also what’s the best theme park eat you’ve ever had or what would you like a theme park to offer?

Kushsmoka69

Where does Mitch get his flannels

Drew VanRanden

Is there a restaurant you’re hesitant to visit because you feel it can’t possible live up to the hype?

Miriam

If you could design a movie-themed restaurant a la Bubba Gump Shrimp, what movie would you pick and what would the restaurant decor and food include? Also Mitch, if I see more tour dates announced that don’t include Boston, I may be forced to switch to the Burger Brigade. -Miriam from NH

John Edwards

Hey guys, the show in Nashville was great! The south gets a bad rap (usually for good reason), but I’m curious how y’alls general experience was in Alabama and Tennessee. Things y’all liked or things you didn’t care for.

Elizabeth

If you could choose another chain restaurant to have a menu the same length as the Cheesecake Factory’s - which place would it be and what would some of the additional menu items be?

justin satterfield

I already don’t like popcorn for all the reasons Wiger doesn’t and then came to realize crowded movie theaters smell like popcorn farts. Now I hate it even more. Have you guys ever had a food or experience ruined by weird thought like that? #GummyAintYummy #SpoonNation

Taylor Wyatt

If you could have any fake food from fiction what would you like to eat? Mine personally would be the colorful goop that Peter Pan and the Lost boys eat in the Movie Hook.

Shirowoh

Would you rather eat at carrows for bfast, lunch and dinner for the rest of your life or lose all of your body hair?

Francis Scott Young

I teach 6th grade Social Studies to 182 students in Texas. Is there anything I should impart to this next generation?

Sam

If you had to choose one food item to fuck, what would it be? I would go for the obvious choice of a corndog or maybe a bundle of taquitos. My boyfriend quickly answered with mashed potatoes.

Joseph Gehart

Now that the Del Close Marathon is coming to LA, can Nick be coaxed back onstage?

Sam Landon

What’s your bagel order?

mr_viper

What's the best concert that you guys have attended?

ClassySavage

When are the doughboys going to chomp their way to Toronto? There are plenty of Canadian chains to review. Tim Hortons, Swiss chalet, Harvey’s, A&W, Mr. Sub, the list goes on and on. Spoon Nation.

ClassySavage

What’s the most damage has Nick done by spilling? Any injuries? Damaged equipment? Permanent stains? Etc.

ClassySavage

If they were to make a Doughboy’s biopic, which actors should play Mitch, Nick, Yusong, Emma, Susser, and of course Wally and Erma?

Mahmoud Shehadeh

Which Game of Thrones characters would you say you’re most similar to?

Mahmoud Shehadeh

If you could create a new Oreo flavor, what would it be?

Mahmoud Shehadeh

What’s your favorite snack or meal to have while playing video games?

Mahmoud Shehadeh

What was your most heart breaking sports moment either playing or as a fan?

Zack Inglis

Have you guys ever had any paranormal experiences?

Zack Inglis

If you could travel to any country to check out their local cuisine, where would you go?

Mike

I went to Apple Pan and didn't like the burger. Not in relation to it's hype or anything, I just objectively didn't like it, and I'm a big burger boy. Are there any universally hailed restaurants that you've had a subpar experience with?

Rambeau

Ok, 'boys -- the big food industry is rife with social and economic destruction: terrible labor practices, health- and environment-destroying ingredients, manipulative marking, and some genuine, grade-A asshole founders. But surely there are some good folks out there. What are the people, organizations or companies out there that you admire for their positive contributions to the big food industry?

Dom M.

I was really bummed to hear we missed out on a Matt Riddle episode, but do you think there’s any likelihood you might have a wrestler on the show? Also, do you guys have a current favorite wrestler?

David Wong

Which food-based powerup in any video game do you believe would benefit you the most?

Daniel Hershman-Rossi

One great thing about fast food apps is the ability to completely customize your order without having to explain it to a real human being. Do you enjoy any wacky customizations on fast food items?

Gabbagoon

If you could outlaw any food or food preparation style, which would you pick and why?

dystopika

In a dystopian future where all fast food chains are outlawed except for one, which fast food chain would you want to survive? (You are allowed to eat other food but whenever you want to eat fast food, this is the only chain that exists throughout the post-apocalyptic world.)

Bobby Beans

I went to Wendy's recently and was shocked at how much a meal costs now. It seems like the price of lower-end fast food has crept up relative to other fast casual restaurants. My question is: what chains do you think offer the best value proposition and what chains offer the worst returns in quality/quantity/etc for your dollar?

Chris Carosi

Since starting the show, what chains have you become sick of, or which ones have dwindled in your mind. I might guess Chipotle, judging from its score dropping slowly since the show started.

Chris Cameron

Hey Doughboys (and Emma and Yusong), Spurtleman here reporting from Scotland. Haggis is well known as the national dish of Scotland but we're a huge nation of curry lovers too, with curry having become the unofficial national dish many moons ago. Many Indian restaurateurs and take-away owners have combined these two foods to create a Scottish take on a classic Indian snack to create haggis Pakora - essentially spiced haggis fritters. They're a dynamite snack/appetiser and great to grab on the way home from the pub. My question is: what other national food fusions do you think would work well in the fast food world and what chain would you like to see them sold in?

Miranda Selover

My mom and my boyfriend's mom are meeting for the first time in two weeks. What would be the best meal to share with the four of us? Dinner? Brunch? Something else? I would love your thoughts and any experiences you can share of this kind of family fusion meeting!

Doctor Remulak

Hi Doughboys, we know so much about you, some would argue too much in fact, so a question for DoughGirl Emma: What made you get into audio production and how did you start engineering podcasts. Thanks!

Doctor Remulak

Hi Doughboys, hypothetical question & money is no issue: you could buy the rights to any IP and write a show or movie with it. What do you pick and what is your quick elevator pitch for what you would develop. Love the show. Thanks!

Anna

Hi Nick and Mitch! And Yusong and Emma! Please tell me who you think was in the right here: One time I was out for a meal with a group of friends, and I couldn't finish my dish, so when the waiter came by towards the end of the meal, I asked him to pack it to go for me. One of my friends called me selfish because I didn't offer my plate to the rest of the group before I asked for it to be packed up! I had no idea someone would find that rude of me, especially since everyone had their own dishes and no one seemed interested in mine throughout the meal! I stand by the opinion that it wasn't rude or selfish of me, but what do you guys think??

dilahoot

Hey Doughboys, Emma, Yusong, Wolly, and Irma! We have seen plenty of vibrant, rich food cultures get completely whitewashed and devoid of all authenticity once transformed into a chain. Are there any remaining food societies/"genres" that you think would translate well to a chain style restaurant? Are there any, in particular, that you believe would not translate well?

Tim Navarrette

Mitch, Wiger, Yusong, and Emma - love the show! I, like Wiger, am something of a heatseeker and my wife and I usually have 5-6 hot sauces in the house at any given time. What hot sauces do y’all keep at home (if any)? Also some people like to pair certain sauces with certain foods for instance I usually like a spicier sauce, but my go to for burritos is always Tapatio. Is there a specific food that you like to pair with a pariticular hot sauce?

Jay Lowd

You did an episode on a smallish local chain (the Hat). Are you considering doing a more authentic version of a Mexican chain like Alfredo's? Also, do you enjoy the Mexican influence on our food culture? I went to a 50s style diner in Alhambra and got a veggie omelet that was served with green salsa and yellow chilis. I love it!

Libby

Hi friends! I’ve been working for Disney since I was 18, so in the past five years I’ve come to know what a dedicated fan base the theme parks have, especially when it comes to food. Have you visited the parks before? If so, do you have go-to snacks when you visit?

TheWickerMan

What chain would you entrust to venture into offering an entirely separate type of food from their norm, and what food could you see being a left-field hit out-of-the-park from that chain? For instance, burgers at Taco Bell, or sushi at Burger King.

Mike Welch

Hey DBoys, I’m the guy who came to the Hollywood show from Phoenix. Anyway, what are your same sex celebrity crushes? Everyone has one, mine is Jon Hamm. Cheers!

Aldrin Cornejo

Hey Doughfamily! Including Yusong and Emma, are there any places you've been too afraid/hesitant to eat at for any reason?

Mike Harter

Hey Doughboys! I know you're all fans of the Nintendo Switch. My best friend created an awesome accessory that allows you to play handled using the pro controller. It also functions as a really great stand. He'd love to make you guys custom editions. You can check it out at https://getswitchfix.com.

Joel Wipperfurth

Hey Doughboys, have you two ever been recognized as the Doughboys while eating a meal for the podcast?

Liam Miller

Hey all, one thing I noticed when I visited America (I live in Australia) was that most fast food chain restaurants over there market based on value for dollar. In Australia there is this, but much more is based on quality of ingredients and ability to do their own versions of healthier and trendier products - McDonald's in particular runs that kind of campaign here . When you've travelled have you ever noticed differences in the marketing focus of chains?

Cody Wichmann

Hey guys! I was wondering what your diet/eating habits are when you aren't recording a show. Do you both still eat out somewhat regularly even when you're not reviewing a chain or do you tend to eat healthier/ cook home meals so you don't get burnt out on restaurants?

Popeye’s Forearms

Hey Doughboys crew! Question for all...other than the obvious Doritos Locos Tacos, what’s your favorite chain restaurant/brand crossover item? (i.e. Jack Daniel’s burger from Carl’s Jr, Cholula Burger from Jack in the Box) and what would be your dream crossover? My personal fav is the General Mills shakes at Wienerschnitzel, specifically the Trix cereal one. Love the show!

Stephen Oman

Where do you stand on topping placement on burgers and pizza? I can't stand when places put the pepperoni under the cheese; it can't get crispy under there! And it seems like putting the lettuce/tomato under the burger has become the standard. They're called toppings for a reason.

QUENTIN HIRSLEY

Dearest Doughboys, what's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? How did your body AND your mind handle it. Also, check out Cook Out. It rules. Thanks, Quentin

Brett Myer

Wendy’s is the only major fast food chain without a breakfast menu. Considering most chains have fairly distinct offerings - create Wendy’s hypothetical, but realistic breakfast menu. (Also, saw Mitch on Vermont and he told me to start the hashtag #DustinDidNothingWrong which I thought was in poor taste)

Scott Kirkland

Hello Doughboys, as someone who doesn't really follow basketball, can you explain to me what the heck happened with the Lakers this season? I know Lebron signed with them, but I was surprised to find out mid-season that the team was bad. I know you love your Lakers Nick, but I haven't heard you thoughts on this season.

Casey Johns

Hi Doughboys, I'm super allergic to dairy so that really limits fast food and chain restaurant choices for me. I've heard "yo I'd kill myself if I couldn't eat cheese" more than any other phrase in my life. You guys have any non dairy favorites? Or perhaps any other food allergy related thoughts? Thanks for the pod!

Joshua Razo

Hi doughboys, I was at your Chicago show and witnessed Mitch do a stone cold stunner on Wiger. My question is which person in the food industry you would most like to stun?

Jess Fiorelli

As someone who started rowing earlier this year and loves hearing stories about how Mitch used to be a collegiate athlete, I’d like to hear some details on what his workout on the erg used to be and what type of numbers he put up. And what his favorite post workout/race gorge foods were. Every time I drove through Quincy on my way to the Cape I think of you guys (although I am often listening so probably not a surprise).

Bill Zilch

Hey Doughboys, I was a pretty picky eater as a kid and I made it an effort to try new things when I moved out on my own. There's so many thing that I thought I would hate (like sushi) that are now my favorite foods. Is there any food that you thought you would hate that you ended up loving? Or any food that you were excited to try and were disappointed by?

Jaime Frazier

Hi guys! I was at your late night Chicago show and wanted so badly to ask this question but didn’t make it up to the microphone quick enough! So here’s my question! As a kid, my first memory of anything related to fast food was of attending a fellow preschool classmate’s McDonald’s birthday party! Grimace was there (no one chased him away, Mitch.) we wore paper McDonald’s crowns, and there was even a McDonald’s-supplied birthday cake with sugar McDonald’s characters on top. What is your earliest fast food related memory?!

Tim

Have you heard of the show "Game of Thrones" and do either of you watch it? Also, if the candidates were Mitch, Nick, Emma, Yusong, Wolly & Irma, or Bugmane - who would take the Iron Throne?

Matt Cameron

The night is dark and full of buzz buzzzzzz

Joe

Have either of you heard of the Nebraska based fast food chain called Runza? I know it’s crazy to think that a state with such a tiny population has its own fast food chain, but it does. A runza is an Eastern European bread pocket sandwich stuffed with meat, cabbage, onions, and sometimes cheese. While it may not sound great from that description, it’s actually incredibly delicious. Since there’s no way you guys will ever actually go to Omaha, or anywhere in Nebraska, you should look into reviewing them anyway since you can have them delivered anywhere in the lower 48: https://www.runza.com/shop/product-detail?object=11393. It’s quite expensive for the dozen runzas, but idk, make Yusong pay for it as punishment for that green tea ice cream debacle. Growing up in Omaha, it would be amazing to hear you guys review the beloved Runza!!

Samantha

Question for Mitch, Wiger, Yusong, & Emma -- do you have any ghost stories that happened to you or family/friends?

Nick Sepe

When I indulge in somefast food I like to create my own Franken combo which is usually del taco fries, taco bell cheesy gordita crunch, in n out animal style cheese burger, and a Wendy's half and half frosty.. what would be your ultimate fast food Franken combo?

joshua anderson

In the recent live episode, Carl Tart makes a joke about being scolded for swearing in Waffle House. Thinking back on years ago, the only time I've ever eaten at Waffle House, I think, if the vibe is the same, I actually might keep my customary overuse of profanity more in check. Have you visited any chains where you found yourself adjusting your behavior to some perceived implicit guidelines? Have you ever realized after the fact that you didn't know and abide the unspoken rules of an establishment?

doughboys

definitely not Yusong responding from the Doughboys account--excited for SGDQ, currently watching a Phantom Brave run as we speak, and love it whenever Odyssey is run!
