What temperature should I have my ma cook oven fries so they’re crispy?

Spencer LaBute

What are 3 of your favorite foods that you would give up eating for the rest of your life for 30 million dollars?

Andrew

What do y'all think of replacing fries with chicken nuggets as a side for a fast food burger. I've done it Wendy's before and think, since I find their fries subpar, that it's a worth endeavor.

Alex Mullenix

For Emma and Yusong: We've heard a lot about Mitch and Wiger's path to their current career but how did you two make the choice to go into podcast production/engineering?

Sam F Seagroves

After every Phish show i got to i get taco bell. Do you have any fast food traditions? <3 sam

Stevie Rea

Recently I've been salivating over the commercials for the Arby's Big Beef n' Cheddar with Bacon 2 for $6 promotion even though I *know* that if I ordered them, the sandwiches wouldn't look anything like in the ad. Which chain do you think has the widest gap between what it looks like in the commercials or on the menu photographs and the actual product?

Courtney Griffin

Hi Mitch, Wiger, Emma and Yusong! Every thanksgiving my family partakes in a tradition of building our own "double downs", the KFC sandwich that substitutes bread with chicken tenders, and then has some combo of cheese, mashed potatoes and I think bacon on the inside. We use deep fried turkey for the "bread," and then fill it with gravy, potatoes, cheese and some other type of meat or stuffing. My question for you: Do you have any fast food favorites that you try to replicate in your own kitchen?

John Newkirk

Hi guys, I wanted to ask this at the first Chicago show but too many people got in line. Here's my question as I wrote it that day: "hi doughboys! how do you guys currently feel about "bubba juice chop chip" aka chocolate milk? Do you ever drink it? How has your consumption/preferances changed since you were a kid?

Michael Dombkoski

In the spirit of fast food restaurant mashups (Taco Bell + KFC, Dunkin' Donuts + Baskin Robbins, etc.), what's a 'meal mashup' you'd like to see, picking one menu item from two different restaurants? (ie. McDonald's Big Mac & Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme). You don't have to use all the ingredients from each item to combine them, just what distinguishes it.

Andrew Dittmann

For Emma and Yusong: What are some of the most annoying aspects of engineering/producing a podcast? Besides working with Nick and Mitch obviously

Doctor Remulak

Hey everyone! Nick, what is your prediction for AEW? What is it’s ceiling? Can it compete with WWE at all? Thanks!

Andrew Vuilleumier

For the whole team: What do you think is the greatest flavor combination of all time? For me it’s peanut butter and chocolate. I will eat anything that brings the two together.

Jake Ryan Baker

I just want them to talk about how Wendy's used to be so different back in the day. It was hands down my favorite restaurant period. It's fine now, but the burgers and fries are different than they were ten years ago.

Emilio

We’ve all been in situations where you’re stuck with a soda that goes flat before you finish drinking it. What is the least gross soda to drink flat?

Splancerr

What’s the gang gaming lately? Into the new Marvel game? Or Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Looking forward to any games in particular if time allows?

ryan blough

my dad says he loves me, but he never follows through with any of his promises. what's his deal?

Doctor Remulak

Hey all, every time I got out to eat with family and friends I will most likely get a cheeseburger. I get dragged every time and they roast me and say “let me guess, you’re getting a burger?” Why are burgers so looked down on? Burgers are delicious and a great choice. Is it because they are usually found on kids menus so they seem juvenile? #BurgerBrigade

Joe Weinmunson

My wife and I have a great food compatibility that I don't hear about often: we have no strong opinion on what's a "breakfast" food vs. lunch or dinner. Because of what we had in the fridge the other morning our breakfast was grilled salmon with stir-fried asparagus and mizuna and it was totally satisfying. Do you feel like breakfast is the time for just pancakes, eggs, etc. or are you more meal-fluid?

Ryan Henry

Do you have any memories of your favorite Happy Meal toys or collectibles from chain restaurants? I still have a couple Fraggle Rock cars from the 80s. Here's a fun list to get you started...

Daniel R

Hey doughboys! I was thinking about this when you drove from Alabama to Tennessee-- what do you guys listen to on road trips?

Dean O’Carroll

Do you have chains you associate with specific family members? Every time Mitch mentions Brigham's I remember my father saying his grandmother used to take him there when he was little. I definitely have memories of my grandmother taking me to The Ground Round and Big Boy (which was Abdow's Big Boy where I grew up in Western Massachusetts). How about you?

The Tale of the KetchupSpectre

If given the chance to change one thing about a specific fast food item, what item would you change and how would you change it?

Brian Edwards

If could pitch a new fast food item to a chain what would be and who would you pitch it to?

Derek Serafin

In this popular "Stone Cold" Steve Austin promo from the early 2000s, the Texas Rattlesnake goes in to great detail about a recent meal he had at the Sonic Drive Thru (it starts around the 1:08 mark). If you were to rate this meal of his, how many forks would you give it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP55LsGNKSI I look forward to your expert analysis on this hotly debated topic. Thank you. ~ Derek PS...Yusong is a national treasure.

Zachary Frantz

If the boys were to open a branded Doughboys restaurant what would it be? What food variety can both Nick and Mitch agree to running together?

Cole Fairbanks

Doughboys fan from Louisiana here. I'm excited about the Pelicans young core this season. What would your NBA young talent starting 5 look like? And what chain restaurants or specific dishes are new and have potential to be stars?

Michelle Baird

Outside of the show, have you guys ever traveled somewhere solely for a specific chain or food item famous in that city?

Charlie

I've been the pitmaster at a BBQ restaurant in Portland, Maine for the last 4 years. Now, I know New England isn't known for its 'cue, but customers tell me our brisket is better than what they've had in Texas. My question is, have you had authentic regionally-specific American cuisine at a restaurant outside of that specific region (a cheesesteak comparable to Pat's or Geno's in Miami, for example)? Next time you find yourselves in Portland, come to Salvage BBQ! I'll be the guy tending the smokers in the parking lot. I'm on Instagram @grandma_tarkin. See you in Boston byeeeeee. PS I know my last name has "cum" in it.

Travis Hage

Are there any snacks or dranks from a Snack or Whack or Drank or Stank segment that you have continued to enjoy outside of the show? As a listener, you've brought my attention to many things that I've tried once, but the Belgian-style Eggo waffles are a new favorite that I continue to pick up semi-regularly. Thanks for making such a fun show.

Joshua Steiner

What podcast would you love to take over/host instead of Doughboys? (BUT the monkeys paw twist is that that show's host(s) will be forced to replace you two and carry on the Doughboys' legacy)

Keith Barber

The late musician Prince eventually admitted to changing his name to get out of his Warner Records contract. I'm wondering if The Artist Formerly Known As Spoon (TAFKAS) is just trying to get out of his Lettuce Rap bet? Thanks.

Alex Oestreicher

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever ordered from a drive thru? Sometimes I see people wait in long, arduous drive thru lines just to get a fountain soda. Recently I saw a woman in front of me take forever to order and receive just one cup of nacho cheese from a Taco Bell. Thank you!

Justin Stempeck

What food did you distinctly not like as a kid but upon eating it later in life you found you really enjoyed it? Personally, I used to hate pickles and olives but as an adult I'm all for them. Can't wait to see you guys in Boston in September. #finewiththebrine

Michael Walsh

What do you guys think about gas station versions of chain fast food? I'm thinking mostly about the Dunkin Donuts and Subways I see at gas station here in New England. I can't help but think that's only going to make them worse representations. On the flip side, there are gas station food spots that stand out as being quality. Does the gas station put you off from these places, or are you willing to give them a shot? P.S. Connecticut is the #1 pizza state in the country, sorry Mitch!

Jake from MI

You guys are coming to Detroit october 5th so Mitch, are you going to he celebrating your birthday with us in Detroit? I'd love to buy you a drink and I offer the same to Wiger but hes probably going straight back to his hotel room. Cant wait to see you guys either way. Buzz Buzz?

Chase Scott

Hey Boys, what's your favorite movie that heavily involves food?

Jared Ahern

Are there any fast food deals or combos that you once loved but have since disappeared? The two that come to mind for me were Arby's did a 5 for $5.95 10-12 years ago and the recent Taco Bell meal deals... Arby's you could pick any 5 from: roast beef, drink, fries, turnover desserts, shake, onion rings... you could double up too! I would get 2 roast beef, drink, fries, turnover for $6! Taco Bell deals were: one item (5 layer burro, grande soft taco, something I forgot), a drink, and a bag of doritos! Just curious if there are any deals that were your go-to that seem to have gone away.

Christina Rodriguez

My fiancé introduced me to your podcast when we started dating, and we're getting married this fall (Doughboys: making love happen). If you had to cater your or someone else's wedding with food from chains, what items would you serve? Would you go wedding cake or fast food dessert?

Mike Mott

I've become obsessed with the idea that just about everything is SOMEONE's favorite thing. What are the best and worst option for a chain restaurant's version of a food item to be someone's favorite dish? McDonald's fries are top tier, but there has to be a scenario where someone's only experience with wings is through Domino's or Pizza Hut and, through no fault of their own and a love of buffalo sauce, that person thinks they are amazing.

Joseph Maxwell

If you could only eat food from one city for the rest of your lives, which city would it be?

Andrew Gaug

Is there a novelty food, drink or meal that you had as kid or teen that you craved when it went away and when it came back, it wasn’t as good as you remember? For example, I wanted Crystal Pepsi for decades and when it returned a few years ago, it wasn’t as distinct from regular Pepsi as I recalled. Thanks all!

Michael ferguson

When I was a kid, my parents would take us to fudruckers from time to time. At our local fudruckers they would calm your name out over a loud speaker to indicate your order was ready. My parents thought it was super funny to use nicknames for “our name”. For instance when I had a sprained ankle our name was called “peg leg” or a classic family nickname “butt wiggle”. Did your family ever have weirdo traditions?

berniesbc

I don't think you guys ever touched on last year's Hardee's/Carls Jr. schism. It seems their corporate owners decided that Carls Jr's bad-boy image doesn't work as well for the more down home Hardee's, so as of about a year ago they really aren't the same restaurant anymore. Thoughts? Are we going to see a Hardee's review at some point?

Brad Wilson

Hey fellas and Emma. If you had a “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” style show except fast food instead of coffee, where would you bring each other and what kind of vehicle would you choose?

“Scoop”

With Halloween coming up, what would you serve at a Freddy Krueger themed chain restaurant? This also applies to Draculas and other ghouls.

Zeke Gonzalez

What song would you pair your favorite fast food item with?

Blayz

So you guys have become pretty popular and have done a lot of live shows in a ton of different cities, so it stands to reason that doughboys would have groupies! Could you give us listeners some insight on what these groupies might look like? We’re dying to know, thanks!

Erik Kang

What are your favorite omelette fillings?

Daniel Virtue

When eating fast food at home, should you eat with a conventional plate and silverware or eat it off of the wrapping it comes in? This is often a point of contention between my wife and I, and possibly could destroy an otherwise perfect marriage. No pressure.

Daniel Virtue

I am team spoon nation and a big fan of the “Lettuce Wrap,” but I am shocked that Mitch has never talked about Taco Bell’s classic item the Mexican Pizza. Mitch, have you never tried the Mexican pizza?

Brian Perkins

This question is for everyone- please describe the most embarrassing time you ever shit your pants as a teenager or an adult. If you say it's never happened, then I'll know you're lying. Yusong has definitely crapped his drawers in public.

Doctor Remulak

Hi Dough Family! I feel like there was a period of time in the early 2000 when the “milk gallon challenge” (Drinking a gallon of milk in an hour) was a thing. Probably from jackass or something. Anyway, did you ever try it? It would make a great Double episode! Thanks!

Andy Coulter

What’s up with those super slow ketchup dispensers at McDonald’s? What was wrong with the old pump style dispensers? Also, which restaurants do you feel have the best/worst condiment game?

Christopher Jones

I love chili dogs and have been lucky to live in cities with great chili dogs, Nu-Way in Macon, GA; The Varsity in Atlanta and Willie's Wee-Nee Wagon in St Simons. I live in Chicago now and have to eat Portillio's. Do you prefer your chili dogs to have beans in the chili or to be meat only. Does the same hold true if you just want a bowl of chili when it's fall/winter?

Chad Cole

Hey Doughboys. Wondering what your favourite regional candy / confectionery / dish is. Is there something from your travels to other countries that has really stood out.

Adam Escalante

The year is 2035. Corporations have taken over as the primary governing bodies in the world. Which food company do you pledge allegiance to? (Ex: Yum Brandslvania, United States of McDonalds, etc)

Pat Sanger

Would you ever try another nugget power hour but from Wendy's or Chick fil A?

Jordan Hass

Best Fast Food BBQ Sauce

Jake from MI

With Burger King rereleasing their King Tacos, what are your favorite budget tacos and will you guys try these? #Spoonnation

Eric Laugesen

Hey Nick, Mitch, Emma and Yusong. I'm wondering what your biggest restaurant (fast food, fast casual, fine dining, etc.) pet peeves are. For example, it drives me crazy when I order a "black coffee" and the server/counter worker asks if I want cream or sugar; or worse, if they give you a coffee with cream/sugar.

Jim

Hi all. Just wondering if you’re calling in to Ireland on the way to/from your London shows in September. Good chance to check out Supermac’s. And, plenty to talk about: http://www.thejournal.ie/mc-trademark-cancelled-4753801-Aug2019/%3famp=1 They just beat McDonald’s in court, to cancel the McDonald’s ownership of the “Mc” trademark across the EU. [And the food is great, and quite ingrained in Irish life.]

Peninah Feldman

Hi all! I keep kosher and the only fast food that has a kosher version in my area is Dunkin Donuts- there are all-kosher Dunkins where the bacon/sausage is veggie meat. It's great for me, but I wonder if it's weird for those who don't keep kosher to order meat breakfast sandwiches and find they're vegetarian. Have you ever been to one of these elusive kosher Dunkins, Emma, Yusong or Mitch? Would you ever want to try it?

Peninah Feldman

How do you guys pick a cat for the Golden Paw Club? Do you specifically go for the heftier/chonkier/oh lawd he coming side of the cat spectrum?

Peninah Feldman

What's the best home lunch to take to school in a lunchbox? When you open your dream lunchbox in your school cafeteria, what do you see in there?

Peninah Feldman

Emma: What are your go-to munchies? Are there any foods you don't eat sober but start to crave when that vape pen comes out?

dystopika

I'm sure this has been suggested: how about a month of HEALTHY FOOD?? You could gamify it by making it a month-long weight-loss competition. You could make up your own rules — choose healthy options at fast food chains OR hit up healthy food chains. Or you could try to adhere to a specific diet (PALEO, vegan, gluten-free, whatevs) while dining at regular chains. I know you harbor some resentment toward the podcast for forcing you to eat unhealthy so often -- this could be a good way to turn it around, maybe inspire some listeners. You could even turn this into a yearly tradition.

MS Paint Trash

Hi Doughboys! This question isn't food related, but the band Tool are releasing their first new album in 13 years this month. Would either of you happen to be fans of the Tool?

Shawn Lyons

How do you like your eggs?

Jacob Moore

I had been eating at Taco Bell for over a decade before My friend introduced me to the Chicken Chalupas, and changed my life forever. Now that’s all I get from there. Got any food blindspots that you never had for whatever reason, then could never get enough of?

Chris Cannon

Inspired by the recent double, what’s your fresh-out-of-jail meal?

Kyle O'Connor

With Ben Shapiro coming out as a Celtics fan, who is the worst person who is a fan of your favorite team?

Kyle O'Connor

Also, is Brad Stevens coaching for his job?

Arman

Hey Doughboys and Yusong and Emma! If Nick and MItch were forced to redo this podcast (or do another project) but still had to do it with each other, what kind of podcast would it be or what kind of project?

Ryan Whalen

If there was one meal you could pull out of a movie(i.e. the pizza from home alone 2 ) and eat what would it be? Love the dough show. Thanks, Ryan From Staten Island

Daniel Siudzinski

I thought a Mexican pizza was where you take a shit, wipe up and toss the tp into the toilet. Don't flush, just let the next person do the same exact thing until the toilet is destroyed. (Layers and layers, like a Mexican pizza).💩

Daniel Siudzinski

Hey Doughboys/Yusong/Emma, if you were to get a pet, other than a dog or a cat, what would it be? At my house we have two cats and a potbelly pig.
