This was so creepy to hear being asked RIGHT before COVID.

Christian

Hey boys, any foods that you've found are guaranteed to make you feel like shit after eating them?

Peter Lecy

Is there any further thought about covering healthier food options to help each other's diet.

Oliver Davies

Hi doughboys - long time listener, first time caller. I used to love Chipotle, but once got food poisoning from their chicken. I lost 10 pounds in 24 hours and it was hell on earth. I can truly not even be around Chipotle any more. Have you ever had an experience with a food or chain that you loved that turned you off of to it forever? #spoonnation

Dan Maltzman

What was/is your favorite instant win game associated with a restaurant chain? Did you or a family member/friend ever win big? Thanks guys! Come back to Boston soon, please thank you bye.

Matthew Ryan

Does Mitch call them "Hut" Pockets? And if so, does he say "Hut Puckets" since the "O" in both words is the same?

Alex Eveland

Hey Doughboys! Somewhat new listener here and I've been having a blast going through your catalog and listening to old episodes in between waiting for new ones. Anyway, I'm from Florida, but I've lived in DC, New York City, and moved to LA a little over a year ago. Having gotten to experience a lot of regional chain restaurants, I'm curious to know if you could trade one non-socal regional chain with something local, what would you choose? Ps: Mitch was my first celebrity sighting when I moved to LA, although back then I only knew him as "the guy from Love"

Michael Cummins

Hey Doughboys! We've all heard Mitch talk endlessly about pizza in Mass, but I haven't heard his thoughts on the beach pizza they have in the North Shore of Massachusetts. Places like Tripoli's pizza or Christy's pizza. My girlfriend is from the North shore and I (Floridian) have had Tripolis on every trip and recognize it as one of the greatest slices. Thanks guys!

Aaron Panos

What do you guys do to decompress after a 'cast/show/acting/etc?

Nate Holland

Hi Doughboys. This is Dutch from Boston. I have a question for you all: If Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach were coming over for dinner what would you cook to impress them? Bonus points for not choosing at Italian dish. Thanks!

Aaron Bradley

If you lost your sense of taste in a freak accident, what kind of foods do you think you'd still enjoy eating based on texture alone? Love the pod! #danomals

Jared A Ando

Nick what is an attribute about Mitch you wish you had and vice versa?

mahoney's famous bones

Are there any foods or preparation styles that you've ordered cus it sounded good, even though you didn't know what they were? How'd it go? (eg, I recently ordered a fancy-sounding beef consommé and was disappointed to learn it just soup)

Alec Lindsey

Hello The Doughboys, Recently, my workplace started using urinal mats that have the unmistakable scent of artificial watermelon. I'm not a huge watermelon candy guy, but my girlfriend is a big fan of watermelon Sour Patch Kids. Now, when she offers me one, I can only picture chewing on one of those green mats. Is there any food or drink that has been personally tainted for you due to a negative contextual association? Sorry if I ruined those Sour Patch Watermelons for anyone -Alec

Michael Martinez

Have either the boys or Emma ever had Gumbo? And if you have what type was it and what did you think? #I'mNoDumboILoveGumbo

Corinne Schwarz

Hey y'all! As a big fan of Wolly and Irma, I'm wondering what your thoughts are on cat cafes or other kinds of animal-themed dining experiences? What kinds of food are best shared in the company of cats? Or is the entire prospect of hanging out with strange kitties totally unappealing to you? Thanks!

Alex Staniloff

Wiger, as a vanilla-lover and a creamsman, what are your thoughts on cream soda? It’s basically vanilla soda. And delicious!

Greg

If you could lie down with your mouth open under a Niagara Falls of whatever drink you wanted, what drink would you choose?

Travis Clark

I'm sorry if this has already been covered but what is the tastiest looking cartoon food? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza is the big one for me.

Emily

Hey boys, I’ve recently been ruminating on the cross-cultural wonderland of noodles. You’ve got Italian pastas, Japanese noodles like soba and udon, egg noodles, glass noodles, etc. What’s your Mount Noodlemore? Could be noodle dishes or noodles themselves. Thanks for considering my question. Xoxo

Kevin Pié

Hey Doughboys and Emma and possibly murdered Yusong! I'm leaving this week for a trip to Japan! I'm really excited to eat all the amazing traditional Japanese food while I'm there but also have been looking at the Japanese menus of American fast food restaurants and some of the exclusive items look amazing. What are some of your international dream food destinations or places where you've had the best food while traveling internationally? (Wiger, even if you won't actually go there you can still pretend) Thanks for the laughs, please come to New Orleans!

Dwayne the Rock Hudson

Nick, I saw that your birthday is August 28th, same as mine. A few years after 9/11, I realized my/our birthday is 2 weeks to 9/11, so I on my birthday I always think, "2 weeks to 9/11." Curious if you have the same thought?

Abe Mendoza

When is the episode on The Rise of Skywalker coming? I'm excited for Spoonman's rage and Burger Boy lying about how much he liked it.

Eric Franck

When you have a dish you LOVE on a plate with other foods you don't care as much about, do you eat it first, last, or throughout the meal?

Corey Vaughan

LA (and the surrounding county) has become a great coffee town in the last decade. Do you have any favorite craft coffee spots?

Dert McGert

Are there any foods you hate to smell, but love to taste? Cabbage is disgustoid when it's being cooked, but tastes amazing when in my pie hole. Anything similar for you two gross-o's?

Vinnie Spano

Have you ever thought about trying to get Reviewbrah on the podcast? I feel like this may have been asked before but it would be an amazing collab. And it would highlight just how weird and robotic Wiger is, when by comparison he makes Reviewbrah look like the coolest and most charismatic man on earth. Also Yusong told me he liked my glasses when I bought a Feast Coast Tour shirt at the NY show and i've been riding that high for the past few months.

J Vance

What is the earliest food memory you have? I remember my mom making me an R2D2 cake for my 3rd birthday.

John Aramini

What foods do you think have the biggest range from delicious to terrible and do you avoid ordering those foods because of the fear of them being bad? I specifically think of ribs. Well-made ribs are amazing, but bad ribs can be just inedibly awful. So, unless I’ve been told that a place makes amazing ribs I won’t order them.

Shaun G.

If you could only live off of gas station snacks, what would be your meal of choice?

Jed Alexander

How do you decide where to eat for local live shows? Do you do research on the handful of most-recommended locations or truly just go with whatever seems the most popular?

Diabolical Records

First: Please come to Utah! Second: If you were to pick each other's last meals, what would they be?

Michael Walsh

Hi Doughboys. Do you have any aversion to chains that are attached to gas stations? I'm thinking about all the Subways and Dunkins I see at gas stations in New England. I feel like they've got to be worse versions of those chains.

Justin Davila

I love chili cheese fries, but it always kicks my heartburn into high gear. Is there a food you guys go to even though it causes the rumblies or otherwise?

Ohmeowleycat

A Grant Achatz situation. The three michelin star Chicago chef who infamously lost his taste due to cancer therapy. He regained his tastes one by one and built all his dishes based on this. I believe sweet was the first to come back when he randomly put a bunch of sugar in his coffee after not being able to taste anything for like a year. Crazy story. He owns the restaurant Alinea.

Rupert

You’ve got the chance to do an Epstein themed restaurant - what dishes do you serve and do you go for island golden temple, NYC townhouse with Clinton portrait on the wall, or barren unsupervised prison cell decor?

Nick

Nicole Byer has been on Doughboys hundreds of times, but Mitch hasn't even been on Nailed It once. Why Mitch? Are you too big time for Nicole now that you're buddies with Chris Pratt?

Earthbound books

What’s your biggest sports feat/accomplishment?

J Vance

My son and I are taking a road trip across the southwestern US this Summer and can't wait to try all the different local cuisines. What are some can't miss items we should have on the list? Thanks for the endless laughs! Love the show!

Azaria Noelle

hi doughboys, long time listener first time caller..any food trend predictions for 2020-Azaria

Eric Franck

What's the best fast food ad campaign of all time?

Daniel Avaritt

Have you tried the Wendy’s chicken sandwich since they replaced the iceberg lettuce with romaine. It’s a big mistake and might warrant you reassessing the sandwich. What’s your take on different types of lettuces on sandwiches?

Erik S Mitchell

Hi Doughboys! Looking forward to your show in Detroit. I have recently learned to make killer french fries at home. Is there a favorite fast food dish that you know how to make? If not, what would you like to learn to make? (The taco bell cheese roll up doesn't count).

David Cole

Which d’oh-boy has the cutest dink? 🤔

Elizabeth

I was just relistening to the Solo menu episode, and it got me thinking - if you could create any promotional tie-in at a chain, what would the movie be, what would the food item be AND what chain would it be available at?

Oliver Brooks

Hey Doughboys, i have a birthday coming up soon and it has me wondering what your favorite cake/treat is to have for your birthday. I strongly believe birthday cake is a double layered yellow cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. Any hot takes on birthday treat Staples? P.S you should try Illegal Pete's in Denver when your on tour! See if you like it more than Chipotle/Qdoba.

Joe C.H. Shapiro

Hey Nick, Mitch and Emma (rest in power Yusong). Are there any meals or food items from movies or tv you remember seeing and then trying to replicate? I remember trying to replicate a grilled cheese Martin Starr ate on freaks and geeks when I watched it because it looked like he loved it so much. Spoon 'Nashe 4L.

Emilio

We’ve all been in a situation where you want a soda to drink and all you have is a bottle or can that’s gone flat. What’s the best/least terrible soda to drink flat?

Dom M.

What’s it gonna take to get a wrestler on the show? Joey Janela reviewing White Claw, Matt Riddle reviewing literally anything while really stoned, Okada reviewing ice cream — I’d even settle for Virgil reviewing Olive Garden. BWO (Burger Brigade World Order) 4 Life.

Sam F Seagroves

This question is for EMMA and maybe Mitch.. what if any are some New Hampshire chains you miss? Nadeaus, Moe's, Margaritas, aroma joe's??

jp00p

Q: What were your favorite kids meal toys when you were kids? Nick was a human child right?

Mike Louis

What is the best food you've had outside of the US?

Erik Kang

What food did you find weird at first, but love to eat now?

Rod O'Toole

Hi Doughboys! My go-to movie candy is Bunch a Crunch and I hold the belief that it is superior to its parent product the Crunch Bar. Are there any "sequel" versions of a snack that you think eclipses the original source material? Thanks for all the fun. #RIPYusong #Danomals #NangGang #WeAppreciateEmma

J Vance

If you could only have one appliance, one dish, and one utensil to use for the rest of your life, which ones would you choose?

Brian Edwards

Which commercial jingles from when you were a kid do you still remember?

Chris Reid

Years of fast food consumption have taken their toll on the doughboys. Time to fight back! Let's see the boys do a month-long challenge sticking to a diet such as keto, intermittent fasting, paleo, etc to try and shed some of the extra pounds! Most fast food places these days have accommodating menus, and it would be fun to see you guys chart your physical and emotional well-being. What do you think?

Tom White

If you could take one item from a major chain and make it better by adding or taking away an ingredient, what would it be?

J Vance

My uncle was drinking a soda outside one Summer and didn't realize a bee had gotten into the can until it crawled out into his mouth. What's the most upsetting thing you've food in your food/drink? See you in Cleveland on the 18th!

Brett goldstein

I recently went to a diner that served a peanut butter burger, which is an American style burger with peanut butter smeared on it, to my surprise it was delicious. Are there any food combinations you wouldn’t think would work but do?

Chris Reid

How often do you eat fast food outside of the show?

J Vance

If instead of turtles, the ooze mutated 4 other things, what would be your Teenage Mutant Ninja Choices to defeat Shredder?

Mark DelSanto

For Mitch specifically, do you remember having Spiedies from your time in Ithaca? They are marinated chunks of chicken, pork, steak, or lamb that are served on a roll. I grew up about an hour south of Ithaca where they originated (Binghamton area). Either way, I'd be happy to send out some different Spiedies marinades for the crew to enjoy

Brooke Atkinson

Hey, Doughboys! I moved to Nashville last April (I actually had tickets to see you in my hometown of Huntsville, Ala., but I ended up getting a job at a TV station in Nashville and had to move the day of the Huntsville show). One thing I quickly learned here in Nashville was Hattie B’s = bad tourist trap, despite being the national go-to reference for hot chicken and Prince’s is clearly the only acceptable hot chicken option for a true Nashvillian. Are there any other places that seem to get all the credit as the go-to for a cuisine nationally know that you have discovered to be a sub-par knockoff?

Ben R

Hey Doughboys, Emma, and possibly Yusong! Restaurants are a date night staple, but what about the date night paper clip, staying in and cooking a meal for your honey? Do you have a go to recipe or recipes you like to cook when you're trying to impress a date, and if so, how's it usually work out? Please disregard if you addressed this in the past. Love the pod, see you next time you come to DC!

Jason Anderson

Hey Doughboys - You engage in a lot of good-natured ribbing on your show. Have you ever been in a situation with friends or acquaintances when you gave or received a roast that went too far or crossed a line? Excited to see you in SLC.

Jonathan Evans

Hey doughboys!! My questions is, What chain would you like to see turned into a fine dining restaurant? Thanks for all the laughs!!

Margarita Javier

Hello boys (and Emma!). I’m Puerto Rican, and our food is delicious. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been wishing I could just drive somewhere and easily buy Puerto Rican food staples fast food style. It would own being able to go to a drive through and get some mofongo. As long as it’s delicious, cheap, and readily available, someone please go ahead and appropriate our culture! (Just kidding, please don’t) Anyway, I was wondering: Do you have any favorite types of cuisine that aren’t currently readily available in fast food that you think could/should be? Love the show love you all, thanks for everything!

Hee-Jae Park

Hiya Doughboys, what eating contest do you think you could win against the average joe?

Michael Kline

Hey, Doughboys! Have you ever found a fast food or chain restaurant in an odd location? When I was in high school, there was a gas station that had a Taco Bell counter. It looked like a regular gas station from the outside but inside was a separate counter for Taco Bell with a very limited menu. My friend and I would regularly order a 20 pack of tacos, always delicious.

Brandon Halberstadt

Wiger: does Amy Klobuchar have Mike Mitchell eyes, or vice-versa?

Alex Bowman

if you could only use one utensil for the rest of your life (maybe a year?) which would it be? there is one that might seem obvious but make sure to consider what food items you would be giving up. be sure to consider outside of the big 3 too, perhaps chopsticks for a bit of a challenge to mix things up?

David

Dear Wiger: As a fellow SoCal Surfer dude I also grew up loving Del Taco. My favorite menu item growing up was kind of a secret menu thing and I’m just wondering. Have you ever had the Stoner Burrito from Del Taco?? Essentially, it’s the red burrito with the white sauce and French fries added into it. It was a huge thing where I grew up and you could just order stoner burrito. Now that I live in NorCal no Del taco up here has any idea what I’m ordering and I have to explain how to make it. I’ve also been to some Del tacos that know it as “going bold” on a burrito. Thanks guys! Love the show

Water drinker

Hey guys! If you had to pick one color, and all food of that color ceases to exist, which would it be? For example, if you pick green, granny smith apples, avocados, and lettuce of any temperature are gone. (added challenge: you can't pick purple, blue or pink)

Son of Swackhammer

Doughboys and Emma! Maybe you guys have talked about this already to some extent I can’t remember... but what are some of your Favorite EXTINCT DRINKS? Soft or hard. Just to name a few off the dome - Josta, Hi-C ectocooler, orbitz, etc. also I’d like to take a moment to remember the tang orangutan, and shout out any other RIP mascots from food and beverage word. We miss you all.

Kieran maloney

Could you guys maybe pull off a double episode in which you do a parody of a self serious “deep dive” podcast where Mitch interviews Wiger and pretends to be really interested in his life?

William Wells

Would you rather be able to eat the worst pizza (such as Papa John's) everyday, or the best pizza in the world (like some rustic Italian wood-fired joint on a mountain top), but twice a year? You can't eat any other pizzas (including Chicago lasagna) outside those two choices. Pizza's version of Sophie's choice.

Joseph Marzola

Hi guys, do you have any foods that you've loved for years and assumed most other people loved it, only to find out that it's widely regarded by most people to be disgusting? For my example, I've always loved Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust and then I offered to order it at a high school party and everyone looked at me like a fucking freak and mimicked vomiting. I acted like I was just kidding then went in the bathroom and masturbated while weeping before sneaking out of the party to go crush a large stuffed crust pepperoni by myself. Love the show and thanks for making my day better! Joey

Andrew Wulc

How do you guys feel about shawarma? IMHO maybe one of the greatest foods on the planet. I recommend you check out Tel-Aviv Grille in Encino - best Shawarma I've had outside of Israel (also its technically a chain just saying).

Andrew Wulc

Great q. Snapple Elements (rain, fire, moon, etc.) are drinks long gone that I pray will one day resurface.

Lee

Hi Doughboys! Do you have a memorable "extreme" fast food order from college? My roommate (shoutout to Trent!) and I would often order the "Wagon Wheel" from Gumby's pizza - a 20" delivery pizza that (at the time) was less than ten bucks. It didn't taste very good - but it was cheap and filling. We love the show - Burger Brigade for life.

Jeff Miller

Recently I had the pleasure of watching the Paddington films and every time that polite little bear got into a bit of a jam, he would use a marmalade sandwich to get himself out of trouble. What is the best food to have on you in case of an emergency? Spoon nation for life! Hot regards from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Sam Wotherspoon

2019 was the year of the chicken sandwich. Which fast food item do you predict will have a banner year in 2020?

“Scoop”

Does Nick like Tom of Finland?

Zach

best fast food to eat on a road trip?

Chet

There used to be a sports bar by house that me and my brother and cousin went to every Sunday to watch football. The wings there would give all 3 of us diarrhea within 10 minutes and we would have to rush each other to get off the toilet. It became a challenge and we ate them every single week and the same thing happened every time. My question is is or has there been a good that immediately disagrees with you but you continue to consume it? Love you guys. Look forward to hearing about your shits.

Raw Dog McQuade

Unless it's a secret for the next time you make it here but what was the chain for the cancelled (fuck you Chris Pratt) Toronto show?

Mike Phillips

WHEN will we get to hear Mitch as a guest on How Did This Get Played?! I always enjoy hearing the boys talk gaming!!

Abe Mendoza

Well, that answers that! It's like I got my question answered without it ever being asked. I'll take it!

Bobby Libby

So re: Palpatine's Fortnite message for Rise of Skywalker, this actually wasn't the only thing like this in the movie. I went to Disneyland last week and on Star Tours they had just updated it so Lando appears to rally you to come fight the Final Order in that final battle. It fucking sucked. Also Mitch have you / will you watch The Mandalorian? I turned against the new trilogy after JJ biffed it so bad in Ep 9, but it actually gives me hope that maybe Disney can make great Star Wars things.

Nicole C

Hi boys! I’ll keep this short, sweet and...extremely personal?! Since Nick is married to a Vietnamese woman and gets to eat Viet food at their get togethers, Mitch, what ethnicity would your ideal partner be?

Bogenlied

Do you have any restaurants and/or food orders that are indelibly nailed to a certain time period (or place, I guess) in your life, so much so that the thought of ordering it now is almost upsetting? For me, a late-night pepperoni and jalapeño pizza from Blackjack Pizza (at Campbell & Grant in Tucson, AZ) is something that only exists from 2006-2008, my first two years of college. I was visiting recently and, driving past Blackjack, was just struck with an overwhelming sense of...wrongness about it.

Doctor Remulak

Hey Dough Kings and Queen Emma! Have you ever had a Tomatoe Pie? I think it may be regional to Philly and the North East but curious your thoughts if you’ve encountered one. Thanks!

hollywoodsickos

Hey boys, love the show. Y'all are major inspirations for me and my co-host on our own weekly radio show. However, sometimes I find myself getting bogged down by the shallow socializing I have with my guests. I've always admired how you treat your guests; what is your advice for practicing mindfulness with your guest during an interview? P.s. Mitch, I also have squinty eyes and I think wiger's eyes are too wide!

jack cox

Mitch, does it bother you that Ryan Whitney now has his own alcohol?

Chad Bailer

Hey doughbabes what type of cuisine would you like to see become more widespread with chains?

Jordan Voisine

Do you guys have any tattoos? Additionally, if you had to get one food-related tattoo what would it be and why?

eric ottens

Hello, My jackass friend was bragging that he eats Taco Bell Fire Sauce (from a store-bought jar) at least 5 days a week and therefore could definitely identify all 4 Taco Bell Hot Sauce Varietals in a blind taste test. We tried this and long story short, he failed big time with a humiliating 25% success rate (not even getting the Fire Sauce right). I have some photos I’ll be emailing to you and I’ll also be calling this in as it’s clearly critical it gets on the podcast. I suggest you recreate this Scientific Achievement with Taco Bell, Del Taco, or whatever. Good luck! PS Ska rules, get Dicky Barrett and Let’s Go Bowling on the podcast, also please leave some My Other Brother Darrel practice takes at the end of a Double. Thanks! Eric

Cahil

What was the best chain restaurant & Movie/IP tie in. Burger King used to have those Star Wars glasses, McDonalds had Furby Happy Meal toys & the Monopoly game, Dennys had the Hobbit Menu, all the YUM brands had a wide Episode 1 toy and menu tie in. What were your favorites?

FuzzyHuggs

The year is 2030, and scientists have developed a way to splice human DNA with that of a cat or dog. You get to select which physical characteristics you would like (i.e. claws, fangs, fluffy ears, etc.), however, they can only eliminate two food allergies that cats and dogs share. Of these five potential types of foods, which three would you choose to live without: Alcohol, Chocolate, Caffeinated products, Dairy, or Garlic & Onions. Also, would you choose to be part dog or cat?
