What’s a non-pizza fast food chain that you would like to see start making and delivering pizzas? Stay safe and keep on chuh-chuh-chuggin!!

Trey Warren

Have you noticed any trends in food you want to see continue? As much as I know the service industry is hurting, I like that restaurants are quickly adapting to takeout and even finish at home options. Also my state now allows liquor sales to go, which kicks ass.

Mitchell Williamson

How often is everyone getting out of the house? How often are you going grocery shopping? What’s the riskiest encounter you think you’ve had since the start of social distancing?

Stew D. Jenkins

2026-10-29 16:00 When I order a gross amount of fast food I always pretend to read it off a list and order extra drinks so the fast food workers don't judge me. Do you guys experience any if that shame durring the tournament or in regular life and how do you combat it if you do?
2020-03-30 03:13

Sam Stephan

Mitch, what have you whipped up at home during the pandemic? Follow up: was it edible?

jordan bondurant

A lot of local restaurants have condensed their menus to include only a few of their best sellers. If each of the major fast food chains could only sell ONE item, what would you want them to be? Thanks guys-SPOON NATION REPRESENT!

Not_a_gov_contractor

I made steak and shake style vegetarian burgers in quarantine. What fast food adventure (making in own kitchen or willing to risk the outside world) would you go after?

David Hauser

Is there another fast food restaurant that you think is worthy of a 64 item tournament?

Simon Balto

Hey y’all. I’m a history professor and was recently (for uninteresting reasons) reading about the 1919 Boston molasses flood, in which a molasses tank in the North End burst, causing the streets to be flooded by tidal waves of molasses and killing dozens. Two questions: 1) which of you would be better equipped to survive a lethal tidal wave of sweet syrupy goo, and 2) if you were going to be killed by some particular food stuff, what would be your killer of choice?

The Catered Quiz

Once the quarantine concludes, what are you most looking forward to doing outside of your home?

Aaron Mook

Some of my favorite YouTubers use food as a medium, such as The Report of the Week and L.A. Beast. Are there any other content creators you enjoy that work within the same space?

Eric Murphy

What chain represents each of the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates? Buttigieg has to be Chipotle

Brandon Noonan

Now that the Tournament is over and you are supposed to stay at home, what is your go to food of choice?

Torpeedoh

What is on your Mount Quarantinemore? Four things essential to relieving boredom and improving your happiness during these trying times (assuming you already have an adequate supply of TP, potable water, basic foods and medicines, etc). Movies, albums, video games, fast food access, hobbies, books, etc.

crowtrobot55

With many people at home due to quarantine have you considered doing a chain restaurant grocery store tournament, consisting of items from chain restaurants in the frozen food aisle?

Jimmy Alicata

I’ve been trying to get an answer to this for months so please bear with me! My brother asked you guys this at the second Boston show, and has since passed away. I can never remember Nicks answer but I thankfully have Mitch’s. Nick, who do you play as in Mario Kart?? I have tried asking on a variety of platforms and feel insanely annoying asking so much, but I need to know! Thanks and love you guys!

Christopher Finke

Whenever I'm eating fast food alone in my car, I'll park facing a telephone pole or utility pole, keep the car in drive, and put my foot on the brake with the door unlocked. In case I start choking (or do choke and pass out), I assume my foot will come off the brake so my car will creep forward and hit the pole, and someone will notice and save me. What totally reasonable precautions do you take when eating alone?

Nathan Hartman

If you had to choose between ALWAYS needing to put A-1 on your steak, or NEVER being able to have ketchup with your fries, which would you pick?

Cliff hackman

It’s wrestlemania weekend bay-bay! We’ll sort of...anywho, who is on your mount. “What a rush” more (top 4 wrestlers of all time).

Pat Sanger

If Emma could pick the winner of munch madness what would it have been?

Taylor Gorman

First place you want to dine-in at and support once everything is back to relative normalcy?

Brian Bieber

Q for Emma: What is your remote recording set up and workflow? Does everyone have separate recorders at home that they send files from to you? (Maybe this doesn't broad enough appeal for the show...)

mrfeeny24

Hey Nick, Mitch, and Emma! Thank you for for continuing to provide 5-fork content twice a week during the quarantine. You've made my Tuesdays and Thursdays much more bearable. That being said, since the quarantine has taken effect in DC, we've been trying to support local restaurants whenever possible, including breakfast hours. Which leads me to my question...what is your go to order for breakfast? I myself usually go with whatever the classic is (eggs, meat, and potato), but also love a breakfast burrito). Also, as a Buccaneers fan I want to extend my thanks to Mitch for Tom Brady. We promise to treat him right.

Travis Hartman

Have you considered doing a blind taste test of similar items from different establishments to see if you could accurately tell the difference? Or maybe it could be like the Wiger Challenge and you guys could get a less popular item from a fast food menu and try to guess what it is?

Masazumi Kobata

Hey fam I've lived with roommates almost all my adult life so I've eaten many meals in my room. One time me and my girlfriend ate crab legs and hot butter in bed for a "romantic" dinner. What's the most inappropriate food you've eaten in bed?

Cameron Casper

What is a fictional restaurant from a movie or tv show that you would want to visit in real life?

Earl Pope

What flavor do you want green to be? Lime, green apple, mint, watermelon? I’m team lime and I don’t buy Skittles anymore since they changed the flavor to green apple. -Earl

Tom C

What's been in your pantry or fridge for too long and you should probably throw out?

Schafer

With these quarantine times among us I've found myself going to the old twelve pack of instant ramen in our pantry.Do you guys like to spice up ramen? If you do what is your favorite way to do so? I like to cook it as per directions and then add sesame oil, Sriracha, and soy sauce.

Joseph Smith

What non-pizza fast food items hold up best to Postmates/UberEats delivery?

Jon P.

My friends and I once rinsed a McRib to see what the protein looked like underneath then re-sauced it for consumption so, clearly, it holds a special place in my heart. How do you think the McRib would have fared in the tournament had it been seasonal and therefore reasonable?

Michael Walsh

What discontinued McDonald’s item do you miss the most? For me, it’s the habanero quarter pounder with cheese. That was a great sauce and it worked so well on the sandwich.

Chris Carosi

what has been your go-to take-out option (besides McD's)?

Sam Wotherspoon

With an inclination to stay indoors nowadays I’ve found myself cooking more (to varying levels of success). Do you have a go-to meal you enjoy cooking at home? If not is there anything you’re tempted to try cook for yourself in the coming days.

FuzzyHuggs

Resubmitting because I think this is a fun question, but it has nothing to do with any of the things you asked for, sooo..... "The year is 2030, and scientists have developed a way to splice human DNA with that of a cat or dog. You get to select which physical characteristics you would like (i.e. claws, fangs, fluffy ears, etc.), however, they can only eliminate two food allergies that cats and dogs share. Of these five potential types of foods, which three would you choose to live without: Alcohol, Chocolate, Caffeinated products, Dairy, or Bulb plants (onions, garlic, chives, scallions, etc.). Also, would you choose to be part dog or cat?"

billy

How do you guys think the McRib would've fared if it was in season for Munch Madness? Also how long into this quarantine before Wolly and Irma try to eat Mitch? #YusongDidNothingWrong

Dwayne the Rock Hudson

What movie/song/game/piece of media elicits the most emotional (any emotion) response from you?

Preston Fanta

Sweden has an amazing fusion junk-food item called tunnbrödsrulle (toon-broods-rule-uh) that reflects the melding of Swedish and Middle Eastern/North African cuisines. Do you have a favorite fusion food that you feel reflects that lovely connection between cultures AND tastes great?

Aust

The new "DoughVID-19" is spreading to all fast food chains. You've equally put in the work to bio-engineer a virus that infects all fast food chains with a food item of your choice. What item would you put in ALL major chains? And how do you think these chains would create their own version of this food item?

Alex Ostapiej

What's your Quarantine Mount Rushmore? Video game, movie, tv series, food, drink. I know that's five, but it's a pandemic! Hope you're all staying safe, thanks for the laughs and company.

Jay

What did you think of AEW Revolution? That Tag Match was something else right?

Tim Navarrette

We have all been trying to get creative since we are all cooking more and Ive been wondering - what is the better staple side dish for meals? Rice, potatoes, or salad. Im not talking extravagant holiday side preparation Im talking make at home 2-4 times a week go-to side. What have you been doing? And whats your fave?

Daniel Kacinski

How is nick’s binge drinking doing in quarantine?

2econdbreakfast

With the current quarantine and the extra down time for viewing, what's the best food scenes in movies? My votes are the prison cooking scene in Goodfellas with the razor blade sliced garlic or the buffet with the fear induced juggling Jell-O in Jurassic Park.

David Haney

If you run out of toilet paper how would you cope? Would you use some other papery substance from around the house? Just jump right in the shower and kinda spread your cheeks into the stream? I've done both and cannot recommend either. Cheers from Minneapolis, hope to see yous here in June but understand that its not likely at this point.

Water drinker

You are being forced to move into a totally sterile, communal underground bunker as a result of COVID-19. There is enough food for everyone, but it is generic, bland, and of little variety. You are allowed to bring a backpack full of your choice of food. What would you pack? BTW I think the Munch Madness final was one of the best episodes ever; the audio delays made it even funnier!

Nick B

Which frequent guest do you think is most likely to be unable to figure out how to use whatever video conferencing software you're using now?

Cole Fairbanks

Hey Doughboys, what food stuff would you use to wipe your fat asses with now that toilet paper is hard to come by? Thanks, Not So Proud Platinum Plate Club Member Cale

Andy Lomeli

What local businesses have you been supporting during the quarantine? I’m in LA, so recommendations are appreciated!

Max

Why is Hollywood handbook better at adds than you?

Anon

Where do you guys get your ideas from?

Michael Yanqui

What do you wish you hoarded before quarantine

Emilio

There’s an In n Out right next to a McDonald’s where I live and like to get a burger from In N Out then immediately go to McDonald’s to get a large fries and Coke with it. Have you ever mixed two different locations for a meal and do you have any combinations?

Tom DeFreytas

If you two were forced to star in a buddy duo movie, what kind of movie would it be? A buddy cop movie, a Laurel and Hardy comedy, or something insane like The Lighthouse?

Sam newey

Would you eat the tiger Kings expired Walmart meat pizza?

SlurpZilla

Hello Doughboys! If you still carry out your scheduled Chicago show (I would recommend doing Potbelly’s), I think it would be a great doughboys double episode if you went to the Mcdonalds corporate HQ and compare the difference from their mcdonalds experience to the typical regular mcdonalds. I guess thats not a question but I think it would be great content. Ciao!

Kevin Bides

If you were a pro wrestling tag team what would your finishing move be?

DopeYeti

For the quarantine, if you could stock your freezer with a frozen McDonald’s item (similar to the White Castle frozen burgers) what would it be? Love, Diana and Brian

Daniel Bailey

Um... what exactly IS a Big Mac coin? And how did Mitch acquire one?

cameron w

hey doughboys crew! i hope yall are staying safe and sane. what have your individual daily routines been like while we're stuck inside definitely (if you've been able to settle into one yet)? like nick are you still going on your morning strolls? any things you guys are doing regularly to feel normal-ish? thanks for all you guys are doing to keep the show going right now ❤️

Bill Turner

Here in Memphis, during this social distancing, there is a pull to support locally-owned restaurants and their staffs with curbside pickup. Is there a similar sentiment in L.A.?

Jake from MI

Hey guys. Last year I made my first trip to LA and finally tried In N Out. The double double made its mark and is still something I think about and crave still. I have even tried to recreate it at home. So my question is, is there any place you guys have tried on tour that has made that kind of impact on you? Anything you wish you could drive down the street and pick up but isn't in California? Thanks guys and keep up the great work. One of the few things that is helping me get through these longs shifts right now. Please do another video feed bag. SPOON NATION

Crazy Makers

Hello everyone! What’s your go-to quarantine meal? I’ve been eating a lot of spaghetti-os with cut up hot dogs.

DAVID P SHORT

Hey Nick, Mitch, Emma, Yusong, Wolly, and Irma! I loved listening to Munch Madness this month, and thought that the “Everyone Is Here” model worked great for the tourney. My question is: what other restaurants have a deep and diverse enough menu to pull off a full bracket besides McDs? Is there any other chain that could support this madness besides the McDonalds? Loved the show since Episode 1, stay healthy out there!

jeffrey Miller

I have been making my own broth with Costco rotisserie chicken carcass but don't know how to make any aoup with it. What is something you enjoy cooking or perparing that you can't turn into a gull meal?

Miriam

Hi ‘Boys! We’re out in New Hampshire (shout out to Emma!) and have been social distancing for over 2 weeks now. I’ve been making big batch meals so we can eat leftovers for a few days and not have to cook as much. It’s been pretty chilly here still so meals like lasagna, pot roast, and matza ball soup (shalom to Susser!) have been comforting. As it starts to get warmer out, some of those meals are just too heavy. Any advice on big batch meals to make that will be good for a few days once spring finally sprungs? Thanks for keeping the laughs coming during these very strange times.

Christopher Brown

Hey all, What’s your all-time favorite fast food/movie tie-in? Demolition Man and Taco Bell? Congo and Taco Bell? Batman and Taco Bell? There are no wrong answers. Stay healthy, everyone!

Timo Supremo

Hi folks, how has quarantine changed your eating habits? My (lovely) wife and I now cook almost every meal together and it’s been great. Are you guys still getting takeout a lot? Thanks for all the laughs during this madness!!

JN

Hey hey hey! Hope the whole gang is safe and healthy. My question for you guys is simple- what's a dipping sauce/condiment/etc. from a fast food place that you miss because it doesn't exist anymore? For me it's the McDonalds Signature Sauce. It was only around for a couple of years, but it was a great mayo-ketchup-mustard hybrid. On the other hand- what's a sauce in one fast food place that you wish was available in another (like how good would Wendys chili be with a Taco Bell fire sauce?). Thanks boys!

Snappingturo

Hi Dougboys family, I had a salt bagel this morning from my local take-out bagel shop and turns out that I really hated it. Can you think of other recent examples where you ordered something that sounded right up your alley but upon receiving (or making) it, it turned out really bad or not at all what you were expecting? I enjoy salty things, I enjoy bagels but this combo did not work for me at all. Thanks!

Brian Pickens

D'ohbois, how do you feel about the rise in popularity of "Wendy" as depicted in the #rule34 corners of the internet? Because... quarantine and stuff.

Craig K

What’s a fast food or chain meal that you used to love but have grown tired of?

Justin Palmer

In regards to Taco Bell’s new Triplelupa — a three-shelled, three-flavored monstrosity that combines three mini Chalupas — what other fast food item would you like to see human centipede together?

Matty

What would you say is the worst restaurant decision you could make right now without causing permanent damage? I was thinking about doing a Golden Corral carry-out order “as a bit,” until my partner said absolutely not.

Lj Holle

Yusong, what is the afterlife like? Everyone else, have you had the BFC burger from Carl's yet?

Seth

I went to McDonald’s to celebrate the end of munch madness and the worst thing imaginable happened: they forgot my honey mustard sauce! I didn’t want to eat my nuggets dry, so I dug through my pantry and ended up making a spicy dip by mixing ketchup and hot sauce. My question for all of you is this: if a restaurant forgets your sauce, do you have a fallback sauce at hand, and if so what is it? Or alternatively, what’s the weirdest dipping sauce you made for yourself in a pinch? Stay safe, y’all!

Vinnie Spano

Now that we are quarantined, a lot of people are being thrust into the world of cooking their own meals. Mitch, as someone who notoriously doesn't cook at home, how have you been adapting? Additionally, what's the worst and best thing you've ever cooked for yourself at home (can be answered by everyone).

N3rd Link

Instead of getting the slip, the dips should have gotten their own “NIT” bracket where they all faced off. How about doing a double on all of the sauces?! Make a bracket, each participant can try them; on their own, dipped in McNuggets, dipped in fries.

Jerry Li

Hi everybody. With the quarantine in place, how are you all with the downtime? Are there any skills or hobbies you are exploring? Is there anything aspirational or goals like a particular dish? Keep up the great work everyone!

Owen Burr

Are there any food items living in the back of your pantry you usually would never eat but are being forced to because of staying inside?

Farrell Ougheltree

Hey Doughboys. I recently gave birth and listened to the podcast through the extremely tedious and sometimes stressful process of pumping. So I got to thinking, if you could have any food product come out of your tit, what would it be? And who would you feed it to? Thanks for the laughs when I needed them the most, sitting in a NICU for 3 months. (The baby is doing great now and self identifies as Spoon Nation but we’re working on that). Love you guys!

Ryan Whalen

What would be the dream movie role for Mitch/ if Wiger had free range to develop a video game what would it look like?

Hot Dawg

since we're all stuck at home now, are you eating anything that would normally make you uncomfortable? I'm having regular milk with cereal, I'm eating all the Brussels sprouts, broccoli, i would skip if i had to be around people (fart related).

Kieran maloney

In many past episodes Nick and Mitch have referenced “hot gossip” or “hot goss” (as they say) mostly in relation to conversations with guests in the comedy community, “talking sh*t” over fast food meals. Now that we live in this brave new world, can you please think of some hot gossip over the last five years that you can now reveal to your loyal subscribers as an act of good faith

Jaimie

Everyone I know is stress baking or cooking. I have made so much stove top popcorn over the last two weeks its distressing. What are you food or food activity are you guys using to cope?

Eric Scheib

In a previous episode (the double you guys did with Dano) Nick said if you recorded an episode about the world ending, you'd be eating Taco Bell throughout it. If the Doughboys had a doomsday clock equivalent, what would it look like and how close is America currently to midnight on that clock?

Shanno Whamo

Once y'all can leave the house and eat in a restaurant again, what's the first place you want to visit?

Blake Boyko

If you could have any deceased celebrity on the pod as a guest who would it be?

Mike Bright

What’s your most memorable fast food commercial? Mine is Taco Bell’s “It’s good to go” commercial for the Crunchwrap.

iehunt75 .

I have a "Hard and Fast Food Rule" that nothing at a fast food place is worth more than $2, based purely on bang for your buck. Do you have any favorite value menu items? I believe the McChicken and Bean & Rice Burrito/Potato Soft Taco from Taco Bell reign supreme. Love the show! Thanks!

Tom White

Is the Big Mac dipping sauce pot too much of a good thing?

Colin Cram

I am quarantined with my kids after being evacuated from my job abroad. Unfortunately my wife is stranded in the country we work in with no flights out. Since my kids are feeling uprooted and out of their comfort zone without their mom, I am trying to make comfort foods that make them feel at home. Nick and Mitch, what are your favorite comfort foods that make you feel better when things are uncertain?

MM

Unsure if this has been done, but Mt. Valuemore? Top 4 value menu items at various chains.

Kyle O'Connor

Can Nick tell the story of that horrible Dominos delivery which was referenced in the Kowalick episode?

Jonathan Cook

What’s the first thing you want to do when the quarantine is lifted?

Kathryn Evans

Can you think of a food that would NOT be improved with the addition of either cheese (any kind) or chocolate (any kind)?

Alexander Adrock

What is your favorite toy or collectible item you have ever received from a fast food place?

dystopika

Please describe your respective quarantine workout routines, thank you.

Matthew Linder

What's your earliest memory of fast food? My own connection to fast food even goes back to pre-memory days, since - according to my parents - my first word was "more", with regards to (Chompion!) McDonald's fries .

Matthew Linder

What are your "grief" foods? After that article went around describing how we're all feeling a sort of grief (for normalcy, our way of life, people, etc.), I realized that I have been grief eating like crazy, and it's pretty much all sweet treats - mostly ice cream sandwiches (s/o Its-Its, the real San Francisco Treat) and Oreos.

Charles Edwards

With this quarantine going on, I’ve become much more active in various group chat threads with different friend groups. I gather y’all are in several group chat threads with different groups. Rank em!

William Doran

Have you made anything fun at home during covid? My gf and I made shrimp ceviche last night for the first time. It was easy and delicious. It seems like an opportune time to have some fun experimenting with food at home. What are y’all up to? (My last name is pronounced ‘door in’ btw not ‘doo-ran’ a la Duran Duran thanks)

Stephen Shaffer

What's the best dip for pizza? Ranch, hot sauce, and buffalo are pretty common, what are your guys' favs? Personally I'm a big fan of dipping crust + the pie itself in honey. Anyway, love the show, thanks for all the #HotContent. And a special shout to all my fellow Millennials tossin' salads out there.

Emily Schaefer

What's a hyperspecific food you wish existed? For me its Chips Ahoy, sans chips (and no I don't just mean a sugar cookie).

Brett Larson

Would you rather be trapped on a deserted island with each other, Susser, or the drunk guy from Detroit?

Rachel

Hey guys. Do you talk about the food you’re eating at the restaurant or do you save it all for the pod?

doughboys

DM us here, I'll get you an answer

doughboys

honestly, that double cheeseburger is my go to always

doughboys

That's it! Everyone records themselves, I record the online session as well and then I sync it all up and edit after. It's definitely a tedious process but hey, it works!

Daniel Pope

I had an appetizer over the holidays called “Buffalo Soldiers," which were deviled eggs with fried oysters on top, covered in buffalo sauce. It sounds weird, but somehow the combination of flavors and textures added up to an incredible eating experience. Have you ever eaten an insane combination of ingredients that you found surprisingly delicious?
