Being British I don’t care about LA politics at all but he was an excellent guest, a true fan of the pod, and I appreciate you leaving all that to the end of the show.

Ben Courneya

Love that you guys went with a new kind of guest. I really enjoy hearing from your hilarious friends in the LA comedy scene, but hearing from someone with something else to say was a breath of fresh air. Funny episode, brisk, and meaningful. You should do more like this!

Shane

New low: I’ve had a new fast food item multiple times before the DBs reviewed it :(

Brendan Livingston

Mitch’s go to review = “it was pretty good”. lol.

Dave McM

Yes, but I’m too ill for those influenced by the regional politics of a wealthy democracy thousands of miles away. I’d only have a breakdown. Where does it end? There’s concentration camps in China, riots at election results in Minsk, slavery is alive and kicking in parts of North Africa and the Middle East, people of all ages are being trafficked for sex as I type, developing nations are ravaged by Covid without the infrastructure to cope, and the planet is screwed. The crap on my doorstep is sad enough, yet I at least have a say, compared to the effects on Los Angeles from hosting the Olympics. That doesn’t make the list. The Doughboys and their guests help me have a break from the things that do.

Brendan Livingston

Would of loved if this morphed into a Little Caesars xtra most bestest review

B.K. is B.A.C.K. as far as I'm concerned. Or that's what I call it at least.

Michael Pemulis

I agree, this is why every podcast should create thousands of versions of every episode, specifically tailored to each listener's hyper-regional interests. TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS! NO NEW CRAP, NO TALKING! TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS, NOW! SKIP TO THE GOOD PART!

Danh Nguyen

Albert was a fantastic guest and loved how much he wanted to express his fandom for the show and that question about the animated crushes was genius! Great cause to back too -thinking about hosting a future Olympics is the last thing the country needs to consider during this crisis

Dave McM

Thank you Michael, you’ve reiterated/made my point for me: they left it until the end and I turned it off.

Dave McM

The Olympics, the World Cup, or other big sporting tournaments, are simply wastes of people’s tax money. Politicians and lobbyists always talk about “Legacy” yet there never is any beyond White Elephant facilities, giveaways to wealthy sports teams, and a brief unsustainable uptick in employment. Even then, when the events are taking place, they rely on volunteers rather than paying people to work. Let’s not even start on the tax breaks/incentives doled out in every direction to the corrupt organisations themselves for bestowing the event in the first place (see FIFA and the Olympic Committee)! 🙄
