With regards to the band members politics, you are right with Kirk and Rob being Liberal. But so is Lars and had been quite vocal about it. James though has kept quiet, so take that what you will.

eric ottens

Lovin that ska talk! Yeah baby. My old band opened up for RBF once or twice but my heart lies in the dark era of late 80s post 2-Tone Euroska and the Midwestern strangeness of Gangster Fun. Less Metallica and for sure less DMB, more full ska ep co-hosted by D. Barrett.

Israel

I had thought they were going to release the games separately ($30/ea probably) after the stop

Skylar Stills

Not only is the intro to Am I Evil a direct lift from Holtz's Mars, but you're probably hearing video game music because it was also used in Super Mario 3 on the Koopa Troopa's ships. #bandnerds

Andy Pederson

I’m guessing James is probably vaguely libertarian but just hates politicians in general

Andy Pederson

Smithwick’s is pronounced “Smiddicks.”

Jerry Li

I mean at this point saying you are libertarian is kinda bad, especially if you are white. I don't think some of these rockstars like politicians, but quite a few know what's at stake. System of a Down though are all over the place. You got 2 that are Liberal, one that is like James here, and one that is openly right wing.

Robosloth

Did not expect to hear about The Planets on today’s episode but hell yeah!

Andy Pederson

Fully agreed! Libertarians suck.

Dave McM

James is a Classical Liberal: do what you want as long as you’re not hurting anyone else; my life is none of your business, yours is none of mine. I’ve a lot of sympathy for that. I’ve been informed that makes me, like, literally Hitler now.

Dave McM

RBF’s live album is a lot of fun.

Christine Moore

THANK YOU I’ve never heard it pronounced Smith-Wicks and the fact that both Wiger and Mitch said it that way had me screaming at them.

Eris

Never thought I'd like this double, but I was forced to listen and I loved it. You guys should discuss music more often, you sounded happy.

Brian LaChance

The Black Mages are pretty good if you liked the instrumental songs here—they’re a few of the composers for some of the Final Fantasy games, and they do rock instrumental versions of the battle scenes. I don’t think they’re on the typical streaming services, unless you count youtube and soundcloud uploads..

Stephen Navarrete

Eagerly awaiting the And Justice for All episode, provided we don't all die.

Keith Jarrett

When I saw Lars host a Salesforce presentation on monitising fans. My last bit of love for the band ebbed away.

Karo

This episode was so funny. LOLed multiple times

Nick Basile

Club Metallica sent me here.
