While it is unfair for me to judge Jimmy John's based on one night's "training" (and subsequently quit that night) experience, the fact that none of subs are toasted is a big reason to dislike JJ's. Plus, the customizations aren't that creative. That said, I wish Jersey Mike's could have the option to toast the roll but the open grill also shows it is made to order and fresh

I think there *is* an ideal level of "messiness" to a perfect sandwich - I wish that's what they were rating, instead of how messy each sandwich is. (E.g., a sub could be a level 5 of messy, but score a 10 because that's the perfect level of messiness for that sammich.) Ah well, in any case, this is a fun tournament. 🙂🥪
