Does anyone have day-after-Thanksgiving traditions? I tend to be solo the day after and enjoy the time after a very person-filled day. I wake up, get baked, head to a local breakfast buffet - probably wolfing down 2,000 calories before 9am, because Thanksgiving has set the standard that my body expects. Tool around a bit to watch the hustle and bustle of Black Friday shoppers. Head back home for another gluttonous meal. Get baked again. Then get together with friends to watch movie or play some party video games. Capped off with more Cannabis and +2K calorie meal before calling it a night.

The Bobbie is definitely on my Mount Sandwichmore . Are there any other meals that would work well as a sammie? ❤️

I usually find Thanksgiving food pretty bland, any ideas on incorporating more spices and stronger flavors without compromising the overall vibe of "Thanksgiving food"?

David King

Let's keep it simple ... what are y'all thankful for?

Joshua Pereira

Hey Emma, Amelia, Yusong, DK, Phish, Susser, Wolly, Irma, Nick, and lastly Mitch (saved the best for last)! If you could go back in time and introduce 1 food item to the people celebrating the first Thanksgiving, what would it be? Also, please go vote! PS, just kidding Mitch, Burger Brigade for life! PPS, bababooey babbabooey bababooey

What is your favorite Thanksgiving leftovers “franken-food”? For example I’ve made potato pancakes with mashed potatoes and stuffing muffins with leftover dressing.

billy

What's the best beverage to accompany a Thanksgiving feast?

Michelle Smith

We’ve heard about how Nick and Mitch met through UCB and their respective sketch groups, but I’m not sure we’ve heard what specifically drew them to each other. How did Mitch and Nick single each other out and become friends? How did these two titans of improvisational comedy come together to become titans of fast food podcasting? What was the first solo hang like? This question is relevant to thanksgiving because it’s about giving thanks for friendship

Hello Doughboys, being a football fan, I've always associated Thanksgiving with tossing the ole' pigskin around. However, for the first time ever, the World Cup is taking place in the winter months due to the extreme summer heat of the host nation, Qatar. Where do your allegiances lie, with American Football or the world's game of Futbol this Thanksgiving? Cheers!

Blair Kuehn-Smith

If you weren’t able to eat a home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving, what restaurant would you want to eat at?

Dingus

Is Macaroni and Cheese a Thanksgiving staple or does it not belong on the table at all?

Tory Fields

What time should thanksgiving “dinner” be? For our family it’s at 2 pm and is our only meal for the day (the rest of the day is spent snacking while prepping and then going back for seconds later in the evening)

MikeBucket

How do you deal with seeing extended family members or friends of the family that irritate you or generally get under your skin?

Pög

How many eggs do you think you can eat before you get sick??????

Ethan

Since the end of the year is coming, here's a question I've been asking my family and friends annually. What's your Food of the Year? This is a personal award to give to whatever food rose to unexpected prominence in your own life this year. Did you get really into a certain restaurant menu item? A certain meal you've been making yourself? A certain ingredient? That's your Food of the Year! To what food would you bestow the honor of your Food of the Year 2022 award?

Do your families have any special or uncommon dishes at Thanksgiving? We always have "turkey pasta" which is rotini tossed in some of the turkey drippings, onion, and parmesan.

Erik Holmund

Canadian Thanksgiving is held in October rather than November. Based on your travels to Vancouver and Saskatchewan, as well as various tastings of Canadian snacks, what would you make for Canadian Thanksgiving?

David Thomas

If you could dress up like a turkey and steal the traditional Presidential Pardon for yourself, what crime would you commit? 🦃🦃

Steve C-B

If you could only eat one classic thanksgiving dish as your entire thanksgiving meal, what would it be? Caveat: that one dish will be in a quantity comparable to a whole thanksgiving spread.

Erik Kang

Fried Turkey vs Baked Turkey. Who wins?

Mr. Tay Tay

What is your Mount Hogmore? List your four favorite foods made of pig meat and/or any other famous hogs.

Benjamin Morin

Question for Mitch & Emma: as New Englanders, did your first Thanksgiving in California feel strange? Like, did it feel like stolen valor to see Californians celebrating a holiday with such deep New England roots?

Kelly Kurtz

Is crust good? I recently baked a crustless pumpkin pie and have come to the conclusion that crust is bad… thoughts?

Stinky

Since there is a long gap in US public holidays between Presidents’ Day and Memorial Day, imagine that Congress has decided to establish a Second Thanksgiving on the first Thursday in April. Biden has asked the Doughboys to choose the quintessential meal for Thanksgiving 2. What dishes and sides do you choose for your countrymen?

Francis York Morgan

Do you have any favorite regional thanksgiving food traditions? For example, in Baltimore, lots of us eat sauerkraut with our turkey. I only recently found out that people don’t do that everywhere in the US. Thanks!

mark h.

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish that you hated when you were a kid? Anything you used to love and can’t stand now? Examples: I refused to eat giblet gravy or stuffing when I was kid, now I love it. I once had some oyster stuffing that was killer too, no way I would’ve gone near that as a boy. As for former love- I cannot stand candied yams anymore, but it was probably my favorite as a kid, aside from pie.

ROD F

What nontraditional savory or sweet mashed potato topping would work as an alternative to gravy?

Gideon Stein

Do you have any beverages that you have with thanksgiving every year? The pairing is important for a large meal and no one talks about it. My family has had Baumeister Root Beer (for the kids) and various bottles of Scotch to try for the adults. These are probably more important elements to the meal and even more important then a turkey in my book. (Scotch helps with family gatherings).

Alex Yontz

food that most reminds you of home or childhood?

Crazy Makers

Any regional thanksgiving dishes you like? In Maryland we do oyster stuffing sometimes and it slaps.

Brett Berliner

How do you feel about Thanksgiving recipes that people won’t share? I have fond memories of a family friend’s Yams that I crave every year, but the recipe was deemed secret, and so I will never have them again. Personally - I think it’s a little bullshit and food is meant to be shared.

Lil Witchy

Thanksgiving is always extremely tense with my family. What can I do besides getting high before hand and drinking a bunch during? That helps but I don’t think I can take many more thanksgivings like that

Mary!

Do y'all have any Thanksgiving morning traditions or things you like to do? My partner and I bake muffins or coffee cake (some kind of breakfast sweet treat) while the Macy's parade plays in the background.

barney target

if you had to compete on any reality competition show which one would you choose?

Turtle from Entourage

You have to invite 4 podcasters to your Doughboys Thanksgiving meal. The whole family is there: Mitch, Wiger, Yusong, Emma, the cats, and Mitch's mum is upstairs having a better time with the Quincy crew. Which 4 other podcasters do you invite to make your meal more fun?

Jay Enright

Hey, Dough Family! Do you guys ever pregame for Thanksgiving, or is that just a drunk southern thing? I have a lot of conservative family whose ranting I can't stand sober. If I'm bringing my own, I'll drink a 6 pack of a porter or some kind of fall promo beer like a Sam Adams Octoberfest. Otherwise, I'll drink any ol swill another family member has brought. Thanks, Jay from Kentucky, a fellow burger boy and self proclaimed stuffing stan.

Jeffrey Loh

This is for Yusong As a PA on the She-Hulk series, how many visual effects supervisors did you yell at and could we hear an example?

bluejello (Kevin L)

If you could replace your blood with one kind of sauce, what would you choose? Note: This wouldn’t kill you.

Kenny Gardner

Do you guys believe in drive thru etiquette. Meaning, no big orders, no special requests, exact change or card only, and moving up enough to let people behind you order.

Patricio

Hey Doughboys! I'm half Mexican, so growing up, it was normal for my Thanksgivings to heavily feature Mexican food amongst the traditional Thanksgiving offerings. If you could choose to have one cultures food join your Thanksgiving feast, what would you choose? Thanks! Patricio (Puh-tree-see-o)

Jon Hamm’s Hog

Do you call it “stuffing” or “dressing”. My dad’s side of the family is more well-to-do and calls it dressing. Mom’s side is as Southern as they come and calls it stuffing.

Wertzy

How do y’all feel about trying new recipes at a thanksgiving gathering? Is thanksgiving a time for expected traditions, or would you welcome innovations?

Parker Bent

Mitch, who carves the turkey, you or your mum?

Andrew Tan

My lovely wife and I will be having a baby this Thanksgiving. Since it's been a pretty problematic holiday we're thinking going forward we'll treat her birthday as the holiday instead. What holidays would you replace with your birthday if you could?

Jaimie

What is your thanksgiving plate breakdown? Do you get even amounts of everything? Dark meat/light meat? Cranberry sauce? Describe your ideal plate

nicholas miranda

What's a thanksgiving food that you think is better from the store than homemade? (for me it's gotta be cranberry sauce)
