So now that Hedon is standalone, I thought I'd make a video to show I haven't forgotten about my old intention of keeping a "mod" version of Hedon to be played with Doom or other peoples' maps.

Here's a quick test run I've made, clearly I'll have to put some extra work in gameplay compatibility but that's another story for another time, far far away from the present. :^)

Enjoy~

ModDB: http://www.moddb.com/mods/hedon Support Hedon on Patreon and get your rewards~ https://www.patreon.com/hedon Since recently Hedon has gone fully legally standalone (GZDoom has been relieved of copyright ties and now functions as a solid free engine for people to use) I have spent the last days working on getting rid of having to bundle the download with Freedoom.wad However, since the very beginning of development I wanted Hedon to go an extra mule and also be compatible with Doom and other Doom map packs. After all, if it's possible, then why the hell not? This video shows a test run I've made with Doom 2, there's a bunch of stuff that doesn't quite fit in as you will see, and also, the music seems to be messed up (keep hearing these wet pops now and then). But yeah, as mentioned at the end, this is not a priority right now, my work will first go into finishing and releasing a first chapter of Hedon, and then I'll see... enjoy!
