As I released a new test last week, I didn't do a lot of heavy work for half the week, I mostly tried to collect feedback.I did do some model work, though.

I also worked a bit on decals on skinned meshes.  This is so Merdiana can get dirty and... other stuff.  It worked fairly well, I just need to figure out how to save the dirt, mud, and other fluids between level instances.I also need to make a better atlas of decals, as the ones I made aren't great.

With better textures I think it'll end up looking alright.  The "OTHER" use for this turned out very well, and I'm excited to implement it more.

I know it isn't super exciting, but that's what I have to show off this week!

Thank you so much for the support, and have a wonderful and safe week.

I did get a chance to mess around with the new build. The shift from the spell selection wheel to the current system was jarring, but it really is better. It feels like it matters more which elements you're gathering and how you use them. Although it would be nice if the primary melee was mapped to a different key/button so I don't have to lose it for a spell slot. One spell I couldn't fathom a whole lot ot use for was the AoE time slow. Since Meridiana is also effected by the slowed status, I didn't see a scenario where I wouldn't just use literally any other spell. Only experienced a couple bugs in Meridiana's starting area with the floating fish. And also getting stuck in a casting pose with wind element equipped and not being able to absorb another element or toggle other spells. Also, not sure if it was a bug or intentional, but melee focused enemies in the Combat Test Area would not attack/pursue unless I was standing directly next to them. So kudos on the new magic layout, it made it a lot more fun to use.

You can simply save data categorized as statuses and conditions and reapply relevant decals whenever loading new instances. This way you can track what is affecting her by flagging it as whatever you like. Also you can do it consistently as she goes through different content.
