Thanks again for being a Patron of Smarter Every Day.  We're doing a thing and I want to give you first crack at the tickets if you're interested.  A panel of 5 content creators has been working on this is the background for several months.  We're finally announcing it today, and I wanted to give you a heads up before I make the video live because I think tickets may sell out quickly.  Around 100 top tier educational content creators will be in the room.  Podcasters, YouTubers, Artists, Writers, etc.  I hope to see you there!

How exciting! I wish I could come but I already know this will be a great event!

Derek Alfonso

Thanks Destin! FYI, the purchase tickets page has occasional formatting issues on Chrome mobile causing some of the text to be cut off on the left and right side at the top of the page (where it describes what the even entails)

AJ Peck

Ooh. I want to go! Any age limits or discounts for kids?

Little Yako

The biggest 'Talkie Talk' yet!

Thomas Bellingham

Looks amazing but a bit short notice to get out there from Wales, any plans for anything in 2019? Would love to come! So many awesome makers as well! Have a great time anyone who's going!

Joshua Mutzelburg

...slightly geeking out over that list! Can you do the next one in Australia so I can come? 🤣

Josh Campbell

How awesome! See you all there!!!

Tim and Chrissy G

This sounds awesome; hopefully it continues. I am also having issues with the ticket page in Chrome mobile on iOS. Mostly the table of ticket options.

Lucas Gallagher

Thank you for the heads up! We’re so excited for this event!!

Dillon Allen

This is the best thing the internet has offered in quite some time. If I weren't taking my mom on her first beach vacay in over 20 years, I'd be there with my kids. I wish this the best hopes for success so it happens again.

M0rsla

This looks really cool. Almost bought a ticket but got a lot going on around this time. You should totally put the show up on YouTube after the event. Also due this again! Thanks for the heads up and the opportunity to attend!

KC

Ya gotta get Jimmy Diresta to this!

Tom Jefferson

Sometime living on my Continent is a bummer

Charles Bosse

This looks awesome! But with two young kids, there's no way I can be on the other side of the country in a month. I hope this is such a success that you decide to do one next year with maybe 3 or 5 months' warning. :)

smartereveryday

He's coming. The website doesn't have everyone listed. I was afraid that Matt's dashing good looks would overshadow the entire event. (working on putting more up)

smartereveryday

You're the second person that's said that. Thanks for the feedback, it's on the list!

smartereveryday

You're right. I apologize for the short notice. Turns out planning an event like this is far more work than I imagined.

Kyle V Gilbert

I'm gonna try to save the money before it sells out, it'll take a few weeks though

Quintin Ang

Probably too late to suggest this, but may be a consideration for future events like this. Would you be open to a paid stream of the event? I would love to attend but it's a bit to short notice for me to adjust my schedule appropriately.

Charles Bosse

Totally understand that too, Just hoping it happens again!

Dan & Jen Baizel

I am looking forwards to the event. I bought tickets for my wife and myself & I have convinced one friend to join (working on a second). (Still trying to figure out the reference to the German dinner).

Kristy

And I'm the third -- I gave up and used my laptop.

Dillon Allen

German dinners are eaten by Winged Hussars....

Chris Hinkle

I’m in! And how is the dinner not sponsored by Hello Fresh and prepared by the Sandlin children?

Artefacio

Oh man! I'm so in! This looks amazing. I'm already huge fan of about half the people on the list and friends with several of them!

Dustin Ohman

Can’t make it, but would love to. Will it be recorded/available to watch/purchase/see later?

Michael Knisely

I'll echo other comments... More notice next time and I'm in.

diyVT

It sounds like a great event to go to. However, travel costs would be quite a bit for such a short event.

Andrew Phillips

Agreed! This is something I'd love to be a part of, but I can't justify the 2k mile trip from Oregon for a few hours. I would love to be a part of a meet-up with Destin and Matt and other fans in the future.
