I need to study for my pilot exam tonight... any pilots out there? I have some software to help me and thought it might be fun to do a hangout.

Not a pilot, but can definitely hang out.

Definitely a pilot, but can not hang out! :(

Wish I were a pilot and may be able to hangout (have spent a lot of time on a simulator).

I'm an Air Traffic Controller at Fort Worth Center... we are all knowing airspace gods! Lol

Craig P Steffen

I can hang out if it's late enough that others in the house are in bed. After 9pm eastern time should be fine. Yes, pilot, single-engine-land, with instrument rating. I've flown various Cessna single-engine planes and more recently my Mooney.

A pilot, but cannot hang out. I bet you know your book stuff. Know how to plot out a cc, and know your maneuvers you practiced. Your instructor isn't going to recommend you for the test if he doesn't thing you're ready. know what they expect for recovery in power on and power off stalls. It's been 10 years ago for me.

I'm a pilot in the Canadia air force, depending on when you do the hangout I might be around.

I've flown a bit with a friend. Not a pilot but can hangout

I've been a passenger on a plane....

Military pilot. Happy / available to hang, not sure how much use id be on a civilian test.

Anonymous

Military instructor pilot, that is.

I'm a pilot and have time! When?

Mark

I missed the hangout but if you have any questions for an airline pilot, just shoot!

Eric Westphal

I missed it too--I'm a long-time pilot. You'll love having your license--I'm sure you'll find tons of material for the show! How's the training going? Definitely post if you'll be doing this again.

How is the pilot license coming along? Idea for a show: lean of peak engine operations. This guy filmed a Briggs & Stratton engine with a slow high-speed camera: https://youtu.be/jdW1t8r8qYc But he doesn't really do much interesting. What would be really interesting would be to see how the flame front moves as an engine is leaned. Does it move more quickly or slowly? Does the internal cylinder pressure get higher or lower? When I saw this video, it seemed straight up your alley to do it right.
