I wonder how it runs on Proton/Linux, guess I'll have to try it out myself.

Warren Spiker

Lol. Yeah Destin should get smarter by installing Arch. But maybe that's too mean.

#4 on the Popular New Releases list?!?! That has to feel pretty awesome! Congrats to the whole team. It was fun being a small part of it.

Tor Park

Wow, I really wasn't expecting a fish game from Smarter Every Day, but now that I've seen the video, it makes a lot more sense! Nice job to the team; the game looks great!

Barron B

I bought it, we'll see how my kids like it later. Need to get my master's homework done before they get home though.

Brian Chu

Thanks for including our game! It was awesome meeting you and Gordon at PAX. I will definitely check out Fish Game. Gotta support the homies.

A red apple becomes dark in a red light room because it’s traveling at the same rate of red light created…then it turns RED AGAIN outside because humans see faster than light is created in a “body” slower than light that they only see 1/2 of at any time

I appreciate that you're saying Oregon correctly :) It's a hard one for out-of-staters sometimes!

Wolfmatix3103

Watched the video and liked what I saw, been playing it for a few hours now :-)

OK, I am sold. Tried to Navigate the Steam site to set. up an account but it refused 3 different credit cards that I know are valid. Please consider putting this on the Apple App Store.

I like good video games and view them as a beautiful form of art. I believe that this aspect of gaming is often lost on people who are not really invested in gaming and only see what is being discussed in mainstream media. Thank you for presenting good games and the art behind them in a good light, and for investing in and promoting good games!

Tyler

Congratz its on the "New and Trending" page on Steam.

There is a deep dive into the theory idea behind the conversations you had at PAX for what do games make you feel, and really on game design theory in general, on game critic, developer and author Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw's video "Do games have to be fun?". I would highly recommend taking the 9 minutes to watch it, it manages to put into words the ideas that all of the guests in the video were trying to convey. Some bad language in there if you do go ahead and watch https://youtu.be/ojiCswpHSA4?t=28

I'm 100% sold on purchasing Fish Game for myself! Just waiting for a port of the game to Mac or Linux.

Isaac Botkin

My kids (8, 6, and 4) spent a couple hours playing this yesterday. Interesting observation: none of them felt a need to name and follow the individual fish like in the folks in the YouTube video. I'm not sure if that was because they had trouble with the interface, or if they just had more fun developing a bigger, macro vision of building the whole aquarium. They certainly liked the construction of the environment and they loved unlocking new stores and discovering new fish and plants. That was the game mechanic that clicked for them instantly.

Garrett McGilvray

I am a fish keeping hobbyist in real life, and I am really interested in this game. I don’t have the currently supported platform, but if it comes to Mac or consoles (especially Nintendo Switch) I would be eager to give it a try.

Luke Bishop

Hi Destin would you consider doing a livestream playing Fish Game?

David Sallge

Hey Destin! I bougt the game out of curiosity and see if I'm any good as a fish keeper :-) While starting it up for the first time, I saw that there is no localization. I would offer to do the German translation, if ou're interested.
