Hello hello! Long time no see :)

I've been working on this release full time since summer! It's probably the biggest update yet.

🔐 End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is here!

If you don't know what E2EE is, it's best if you skip this for now as it may complicate things for you in the future. If you do know E2EE, rejoice! 🎉

Note that if you decide to enable E2EE, make sure you don't EVER forget your password or recovery key - all server data will be encrypted with your password ⚠️.

☁️ Cloud dials - now editable and modern!

Web version of Group Speed Dial (Cloud dials) have been finally updated and is now almost indistinguishable from the installed extension!

This means you can add or change your dials even on your phone/tablet!

This makes Group Speed Dial fully usable even on browsers where it cannot be installed, like some enterprise managed devices.

🎞️ Live dials no longer reloads

This one is my personal favorite!As you may have noticed, once you have Live dials in a group, their content (the page inside) will reload every time you make any changes to your dials. Often several times in row!

But that ends now! 🥳 Note that this API works only in modern browsers - Firefox 144+ / Chrome 133+. If you are using Firefox ESR 140, you'll have to wait for the next Firefox ESR 153 to be released.

⭐ Change favicons

Is your favorite page missing a favicon?Or maybe the default one is too dark / low resolution / ugly?

No problem! You can now change any favicon - right click the dial, select Edit dial and switch to Visual tab. Here you can find the new Change favicon button:

It will work also on Search dials and Multi-page dials:

🌟 Modernized UI (user interface)

All modal windows have been modernized and now supports dark theme.See for example "Search" and "History" windows:

🥖 Breadcrumb navigation bar

If your dials are organized into deeply nested groups, you may be happy to see new breadcrumbs navigation feature:

This bar will show you all parent groups that leads to the currently opened group.

TIP: you can click the ">" icon to list all child groups:

⚡ Dial Actions - multiple clicks!

This is something for advanced users and programmers.

You can now automate multiple clicks on a single page - but you'll have to check "Allow multiple actions" checkbox.

This specific set of actions will:1. click a button with a text "Next" (if such button exists on the page)2. wait for the page to navigate to the specific login URL3. wait 500ms (half a second)4. click a button with text "Next"

I'm using this to auto-login into my "Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard" page, which logs me out every day.

📈 Other upgrades

There is A LOT of smaller upgrades and fixes, for example:

groups list can be centered

"Search page for images" will now find more page logos

reduced RAM usage and improved performance when adding all opened tabs to dials

upgraded "Statistics" page with details about each group

fixed "dials jumping around" in Grid and Dynamic layouts

⏭️ What's next

I'm not stopping, programming extensions is still my hobby and my todo list is full of cool new ideas!

My immediate plan is to record more tutorials / tips and tricks, and improve documentation.

I also need to release update for some of my other smaller extensions.

Plus... we all have our personal lives, and not every day is sunshine and rainbow. Sometimes life gives you lemons and you need to step back and adjust your priorities...
