🔗 Sharing dials in Group Speed Dial (Patreon)

Hello everyone :),

New version (24.0) of my Group Speed Dial has been released and it brings one big and many small features and improvements!

I've been working on this update for almost 3 months and the full change-log was so long, it exceeded 3,000 characters limit in Firefox store :)

🔗 Sharing dials

You can now share your dials (links) with your friends or a general public.

And the person that opens the link will be able to view and also import the dials (if they have Group Speed Dial installed).

# How to:

1. Click "Share dials" in the main menu, or if you want to share a specific group, right click it:

2. Then in the "Share dials" window, you can:- add / remove dials (or groups) by clicking "Select dials" button- reorder links with drag and drop- name the selection of links- protect it with password (using strong End-to-End encryption!)- click the  "Create shared link" button to get the link

3. After you click "Create shared link", you will get a link you can share.

For example, this is my Food and Weather group:https://group-speed-dial.fastaddons.com/cloud?share=_zft79SLTTCy7pHS6zicDQ

(well, these links are useful only to people in Dolný Kubín city in Slovakia, so I plan to share it with my brother and some friends at the office)

4. If the person that opened the link has Group Speed Dial installed, they can import single or all groups into their dials page and they will be able to use the original layout (same as you use):

(for example this Weather group has 2 dials, left dial is split into 4, and the right huge dial shows live weather radar info of Slovakia)

Future updates

Next updates should be released in a much faster pace :)Version 24.1 will be finished in a few days and it will fix many small issues I missed in this release.

After that, I want to get ready for the Android (which will officially support all addon in December). Although my speed dial already works in Android, there are some small usability issues I want to address.

Next there will be a big redesign of the pop-up window and Options page (which will open in a modal window inside the Dials page, so you will see your changes in the real time!).

Upgrading Options page will allow me to implement some new visual changes, including new themes system.

All this plus many smaller updates and improvements are planned - often based on your feedback so don't be shy telling me what you miss / don't like or is broken :).
