What a joke... How did it end up like this? When I signed up for the play, I was supposed to be the prince, wasn't I? Wearing a cool outfit, standing on stage with a sword, protecting the princess—that would have made sense. But when the cast list was announced, I somehow ended up as the rabbit girl. A rabbit girl? Me, a guy, playing a rabbit girl? When I saw my name back then, I honestly thought I had read it wrong.

And now, the person standing in front of the mirror... is that really me? My hair has been styled into this long black hairstyle, falling over my shoulders and down my back, with streaks of blue mixed into it that shine whenever the light hits. Normally, I just run my fingers through my hair and leave the house, but now I actually have to spend so much time fixing it. Even my bangs have been carefully trimmed and arranged. And with these eyes after being done with makeup... sigh, even my expression feels different. I wanted to make myself look a little cool, but with this makeup, I just look like a girl. And why do these black rabbit ears have to be so noticeable? Along with this tiny golden crown on my head, I look less like a prince and more like some strange fairy tale character.

The clothes are even worse. I was expecting a prince's coat, but instead I ended up wearing this black-and-blue dress. There are lace and frills all over the chest area, white decorations around the sleeves, and blue ribbons tied around my arms. The waist is tightly fitted, and the skirt has so many layers that it sways every time I take a step. It's supposed to be just a costume for a school play, but it's ridiculously detailed. The black fabric is decorated with golden patterns, and even the smallest parts are made beautifully. I even have to wear these dark stockings, and the shoes have little ribbons on them too... Am I really here to play a prince, or am I attending some kind of girl's dance party? This outfit is practically shouting at everyone, "Look, this is the rabbit girl!"

But complaining won't change anything. I'm already wearing this outfit, and the performance is coming soon. I can't exactly run away now. When I first practiced those cute gestures, I felt completely uncomfortable. Even forcing myself to smile felt strange. "Why am I supposed to make an expression like this...?" That's honestly what I thought at the time. But if I can't even accept this role myself, my performance on stage will only be worse. Fine, then. Rabbit girl it is. Since everyone trusted me with this role, I should at least do my best to perform it properly.

Alright, one more try... Smile naturally, don't make my movements so stiff, and make my voice a little cuter. Even though I still think this outfit is pretty embarrassing, it doesn't feel quite as awful as it did at first. Sigh... I never thought I'd end up seriously practicing how to act adorable. But since things have already turned out this way, I'll just have to do my best and become the best rabbit girl I can be.
