"Victory is not an absolute. A warrior can triumph in battle and be lessened by it, for it is the end that sanctifies war, not the means. The warrior that fights for nothing more than blood has already been defeated."

This weekend’s tutorial is a full Vheren Masterclass, with an emphasis on the face. We show the worksflow, demonstrate the shapes the brush can make to develop the texture of the skin, and a simple colour recipe that can be used on any miniature in your collection.

PAINTING THE LEGIONS - MKII

There are 20 marines in there. Over the next few

Months I’ll be creating a new 'Painting the Legions' series based on the pre crusade schemes or interesting alternate liveries.

Question to the community - which legion should we concentrate on first?

...the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short - just like this tutorial. Enjoy brutalising your miniatures in this week's tutorial.

STORE

If you would like to purchase ANYTHING for your loved ones, yourselves, or just for the sheer thrill of retail therapy why not pick something up from our new store? We have hoodies, T-shirts, but can I point out 2 things I'm unreasonably proud of?

Journal

The front cover showcases the Aristotelian linear colour system, while the Newtonian wheel is on the back. My hope is that this journal will become your indispensable companion for project organization. Record your ideas, sketch colour concepts and keep track of paint recipes used on your projects.

Quick Reference Mug

Simple and convenient - have a colour wheel to hand at all times.

War Hounds! Would love to see your take on them

War Hounds or Luna Wolves! How do you make the white armor interesting and different from each other.

Ollie P

I would say focus on the lesser seen legions first, perhaps giving them a spruce up might help with their popularity

Greencompany_Painting

I agree with Ollie; focusing on the lesser-seen legions or alternate color schemes for the more popular legions would be great. Though personally, I'd love to see another video featuring a metallic Emperor's Children scheme.

Luna Wolves, showing us how to paint white correctly while also adding character will be amazing.
