I remembered my questions. Do you find gloss varnishing can reduce your contrast on models? i had it recently knock back pretty much all of my contrast recently. and how do you get around varnishing for gaming with powders? most of the time mine just blow straight off the model :(

Indeed it does take a little away from the contrast, even if you use a matt varnish to finish the piece off. I always encourage people to push their highlights and shadow a little more than they are comfortable with if they intend to varnish the miniature.

Hi Myles! Question, regarding the powders...I have a vast array of Mig powders with "mig thinner for washes" and "pigment fixer"... do you use any of these or do you just use varnish to fix and blend the powders? I feel like literally everyone I follow uses powders differently! Lol so confused
