Very good video. Interested to see more of those AK interactive metals.

Could you provide more on the blue green filter you used I couldn’t catch the product name

Shaun Kazemian

Yeah - very cool effect. It definitely seemed to dry more opaque than it looked going on.

Hi Myles, loved the video. With the rub and buff did you Matt varnish the mini before applying this or did you Matt after applying? Or did you leave the model with a gloss finish? Hopefully starting some titanicus goodness after the holidays.

I will be atrempting legio atarus, was contemplating red marble as well as the white. Although think this might be a bit to busy. So probably a nice scarlet red instead.

Hi Myles when I saw the tile for this video I was keen to see how you used the rub n buff.... I have some rub n buff I bought a few years ago that I've yet to use, but what I have seems much removed from the AK stuff you used. I forget the product/company name off hand but the stuff I have turns almost black when dried & then you quite literally rub it to buff up the metallic effect on the high points. If I recall correctly its designed to give an antique gold/metal look to ornate picture frames etc... is that how the AK stuff is suppose to be used also or are they just highjacking a name do you know please?

Any alternatives to the wilder blue green? Was going to avoid getting a single product from the UK shipped to the states if possible. Thanks!

Dillon Grossman

You think an oil paint would work better than an acrylic? Or maybe a pigment wash with a faded blue? I went to look at buying the wilder product from airbrushes.com and apparently they wont even ship it to the States. Thanks for the response!

Daft question miles. Are these labelled as rub and buff paints? Or is that just the technique?
