In this video, we explore how to create a richer, more complex black marble for larger surfaces.

I wanted to get this smaller tutorial out before we launch into the heavier Sanguinius series. You will be getting a full rundown on the methodology of NMM, TMM, light reflections, colour theory and composition of Sanguinius with accompanying notes and PDF.

Hey Myles - something I did for my black marble (the shields I sent you!) was to base coat silver, then applied some splotches/variable areas of white - THEN did the black. I feel like that achieved the variation in the veins in a very time efficient manner. Haven’t tried this method, but just wanted to share what I thought was a successful experiment!

I've been trying to do this technique with the baby wipes we bought for my kid, but instead of pulling apart, they just tear. Would cotton balls be an acceptable alternative?

I might be late to the party here but I've found that flushable baby wipes tend to tear more, seems like they're more papery whereas the ones you're not supposed to flush (that everyone does anyway) are a bit tougher and more like fabric. Those are the ones I've had the best marble results with!
