Hi myles, I was wondering: how much time elapses between you applying hairspray and the actual chipping? After my rust layer I do a preshade layer and then some layers of contrast paint, some more highlights and ink as a Filter layer. Sometimes it takes me a week to finish the basecoat on a model. I had very bad luck with chipping medium (I currently have the vallejo one which i suspect to be not great) as well as with liquid mask chipping on said recipe. Any advice on this? Should I do it all in one sitting? Try hairpray? Try some ammo/ak heavy chipping medium?
