Great tutorial, The models look fantastic! I was wondering about the black spots on the armour (battle damage/ oil spots) do you use oil paints to create these or some ak interactive product? Im painting a Emperors children army atm, but they turn out very clean looking. Being emperors children I dont want to much battle damage, but I some how want them to look a bit more grimy.

The primaris marines are essentially 'true scale' - these new models are physically larger than other basic human soldiers or xenos miniatures . The original space marine models from 1988 onwards were sculpted the same size (often actually smaller) than other minis. Back in the day the only thing humanity's finest towered over on the actual table top were Squats (but that's another story). The primaris were essentially a clever way to rescale the marines up to the superhuman size in the lore. A lot of 30k folks would like to see the entire range rescaled upwards to the same size as the primaris miniatures
