Community Paint Along Feb 28th (Patreon)

Hello artists, hello community, hello fellow inmates (we're currently in lockdown in the UK). Welcome, all to this new concept we are launching this February. 

Livestreaming was a great part of the early Patreon but I felt the quality of video just wasn't there. It was fun to hang out and chat, but there were no teachable moments. And that is what this Patreon, at its heart is - a learning resource for painters of all abilities. 

The Format

The end of February will see a reintroduction of this style of video. We'll hold a vote to decide what you would like to see painted and I'll pre-record sections. Then a watch party will be held on youtube where you can ask questions in real-time about the process. This is an exciting pilot that we hope will be successful enough to roll out permanently. 

Now, the real question. What miniature should we choose to inaugurate this? 

The Lion God by Kingdom Death. 

An ambitious project for those who wish to develop OSL, skin, and unusual lighting effects. Possibly the hardest model to acquire from the choices. 

Vasillac the Gifted. 

Perfect for those who wish to develop an unusual palette, explore NMM and advanced brush technique. It's also quite an easy model to get a hold of via ebay of facebook market places. 

L.C.J by Hera Miniatures.  

Perfect for adventurous souls who wish to broaden their painting horizons. We will be using well-established techniques explored in previous videos such as chipping, skin tones, and airbrush blending - but applied to a whole new scale! 

In all of these cases, we must consider how long it will take to get to us, as well as the rarity of the model. Hera has been known to be a little slow getting things out to America, whereas the Lion god might be harder for some to track down.

Of course, there's always the 4th option - you decide. Write in the comments below and we'll see if a clear winner emerges.
