Cracking video. The colour theory explanation is super handy.

This is great use of colour theory, very informative. My method for gemstones, has been to do the gem in black then use progressive lighter greys towards the bottom edge, to almost white. I then glaze over the top with whichever colour I want. Then I add the white smile. Finally gloss varnish. I find it especially useful if doing loads of gemstones, for doing it fast as i can do all the black through to white in one go before using a variety of glazes to colour the gems and a final varnish
