Quick update before I head out of town for GenCon. While doing some research into the 1600s and Puritans, I had a chance to dig into Oliver Cromwell some. If you don't know who that is, I recommend looking him up. It's some pretty gnarly stuff.

Anyways, here's my tribute to Mr. Cromwell (along with some other grotey creatures).

Enjoy!

Note: Some pages were intentionally left blank. Also, this is a book I'm in the process of working on, so ignore the page numbers for now.

OMG this Oddwell entity is amazingly creepy. Nice job turning the original tale “on its head,” so to speak.

Is this written from the point of view of Oddwell’s supporters? Because Cromwell was truly a bastard in real life. His campaigns in Ireland were particularly horrific. He also cancelled Christmas one year.

Shouldn't a "Deep One" prowling the surface should incur some penalties? Only at depth should their full true powers be available. We know that real-world deep species have a number of problems when they are caught and pulled to the surface of the ocean, so it seems reasonable that a Deep creature should lose some of their strengths or special abilities on the surface. And when characters have to delve deep into the Deep creatures home turf, they should then face the true strength of those who dwell there.

Sorry, I got confused. I got an email about the Deep One and "Get the full document plus way more Witchfinder's Grimoire content when you become a DMDave Patron." I downloaded the PDF above, but the Deep One is not in this file? Am I looking at the wrong thread?
