NTR Mobile v0.22.4!!! (Patreon)

Finally, the wait is over. After trying a different way of working and dealing with technical issues that broke so much that fixing them was almost the same as re-creating v0.22, this hellish dev cycle is almost over! This update does not include the Lovers path. The Lovers path for v0.22.0 is by far the most complex (yes, even compared to Happy/NTRS) and thus the hardest to fix. Since Lovers has not been merged with this update, none of the images are in it either, meaning everything in the gallery is focused on this update and should be unlockable.

I'm going to be quite frank. I did not have fun the last month and a half. Fixing this has been, without a doubt, the biggest challenge I have faced while developing NTR Mobile (bar none). To add salt to the wound, it happened to the biggest update yet. I'm not going into how big the update is, as I'll be leaving that for you all to discover for yourselves.

I do hope the sheer amount of decision paths in this update gives a bit of insight into why puzzling it all back together took so freaking long! And know that you can expect my development time to be spent on the updates themselves. So you can be sure: the longer an update takes, the bigger it is (be it in girth or length). I apologize for the long wait.

Also, the people in the Patreon chat deserve an apology. Since Patreon chat does not auto-refresh and I do not get notifications from it either, it's easy to overlook (even more so when I'm tunnel-visioned on fixing or developing a release). I don't want to force anyone to use Discord; I just happen to talk more on it because of its ease of access. I apologize if this made some people feel left out, as this was not my intention at all.

Okay, a few more words at the end of the post regarding future updates. For now, let's get into it.

NTR MOBILE v0.22.0:

Upgraded ASKITSHAREIT app. !!IMPORTANT!!: You are now able to react to some posts in the AskItShareIt app. This will steer some actors to take particular actions. You can ignore it, as the world does not pause waiting for a reply. However this makes these posts time sensitive and the effects can be missable.

Added a notification for AskItShareIt posts. Going forward AskItShareIt will play a role in steering the story. This notification will make sure you do not miss AskItShareIt posts.

Upgraded comic system to support censorship.

Upgraded comic system to support animations.

Upgraded comic system to handle non-POV scenes.

Non-POV scenes can be turned on/off in the settings (these are scenes where the MC is nowhere near or is not directly involved).

Added comic censorship in settings. Sometimes scenes will have things going on that you may want to see fully, partially, or not at all, letting the imagination take over. This setting is for you (not to mention it needed to be implemented for future true MC POV anyway).

Updated startup screen to support new censorship.

Upgraded gallery to handle images. The sheer size of this update broke the gallery and increased RAM usage by a sizable amount. This upgrade provides optimizations that make the gallery scroll smoothly without consuming tons of RAM.

NTRS Path (finally, after a whole year, NTRS is splitting off into its own path).

Upgraded the Stats app to support new NTRS changes.

Upgraded Stats app to record unique partners.

Created/added a new centralized animation system. This will handle all UI animations going forward.

Preparation for a certain event (more info at a later date).

Upgraded the ENTIRE UI so it uses the new animation system.

Tons of bugfixes, most of which came from this development cycle (0 fun, pure grind).

A lot of optimizations designed to hopefully counteract the increase in size this update brings with it.

And finally, the story continues… (not for Lovers, hang tight).

NTR Mobile v0.22.1:

Fixed Liz's chat freezing after Sam's chat (office).

Fixed Sam's chat not triggering properly (after office).

Fixed Sam's images not unlocking properly on Happy>NTRS paths.

Fixed AskItShareIt bricking at a certain point in happy path.

Fixed faulty gallery numbering.

Fixed comic thumbnails being incorrectly shown.

NTR Mobile v0.22.2:

Fixed Matt's chat not triggering properly on certain paths.

Fixed Glitched Stats app not returning to normal after Richard updates it.

A LOT of optimizations.

If you were experiencing crashing. Try and force close the app and restart it. That way you will know for certain the new version loads properly.

NTR Mobile v0.22.3:

Fixed missing Matt chat trigger on NTRS paths.

Fixed secrets not triggering in browser.

Even more aggressive optimizations.

Updated scripts to balance out loading more evenly.

Known issues:

A certain scene plays while you do not have nano-bots. This is being looked into and will be fixed in a later patch.

Gallery has no animations. The video part of the gallery needs a complete rework to handle the animations and unlocks for those animations. Since they can't be unlocked, they have not been added to the gallery and also do not tally to the total gallery count.

Timeline is partially not working correctly.

Patreon supporter list not working properly in the browser.

Now that that's out of the way, a small explanation regarding past and future updates. At the start of the year, I set the goal of 12 updates for this year. Of course, things can go wrong, and maybe a vacation here and there, so as long as I'm above 10 updates in a year, I'm satisfied. See it as a competition where 12 updates is the gold medal, 11 is silver, and 10 is bronze.

This update marks the 11th update this year. Now, I'm sure I will get Lovers done before the end of the year. However, v0.23 will not be possible without risking serious burnout and possibly shelving NTR Mobile. I am not prepared to take this risk, so I'll take the silver medal on this one and push v0.23 to January (fingers crossed).
